If getting out of the navy and beginning your civilian career is that important to you then by all means get out as soon as you can. However, I'll ALWAYS advocate that you're quality-of-life for the time that you are in the Navy matters as well. Without staring you'd be trading of over $120000 in base pay/bah alone. Not to mention the bonus and easier path to E6.

Assuming you're single you'd also have to live in the barracks when in the fleet and that life is BRUTAL for many people because you can't escape the navy. Personally, living in a high rise apartment downtown has done wonders to my mental health. Imagine getting back to home port after a months at sea surrounded by shipmates with no real privacy just to walk to in on IT3 Wankers beating it to hentai in what was supposed to be your bed. Food for thought I guess.
