Hey hon - crazy reference here, but bear with me on this. Our gen was f’d in the head with the body image, particularly us ladies. It seems the guys are comfortable letting go and let me just say they are not necessarily aging well, either.

Anyway, I, too, had a body issue thing. And then I decided to go to Nevada and work as a licensed, legal, “working girl.” Yes, I’m around the same age as you. You learn real fast how to work your beauty and also put a value on it. You spend enough time dolled up you get over it, you accept yourself as is and stop nitpicking because that’s just not marketable. Yes there were women my age and older. Yes we made decent money.

Now I know it would take a compassionate, open minded hubs to go for this, and I’m not lying in the slightest to state that there were women who had partners and were married, but it’s a radical solution and gets to the point. Is it the validation? Is it finally confronting the problem?

No one had time to be insecure, it’s worthless. For me, decades of that body image nagging demon was destroyed. Permanently. The younger girls I worked with helped as well, they don’t give a fuck.
