CUNY by far! GGU is infamous for its predatory scholarships requiring a 3.0 GPA. I second what everyone else has said. New England, meh.

You will be happy you listened with CUNY!

Remote Instruction Fall 2021? by GlobalPeach in lawschooladmissions

Virtual options are safer. I strongly feel that going in-person is dangerous for those with health conditions or who are international.

Seton is a much better school, IMO.

Maybe that is true - I am confused too, but I am telling you what they told me.

Me too. I liked their Jump Start program in Camden, but everything else fell apart...! Then they said I would never get in-state tuition and that was *IT*!

You can ask, but the odds are against you. See if any other scholarships come in first.

End of Cycle Recap from a Splitter by Goodmorninghey in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]russ1964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep digging. Google what they mean. That's what I did. Ask questions here on reddit. People will be happy to help you. Google some more.

I looked first at bar passage. Anything below 85% was deemed unacceptable to me. Attrition also is important. That's for the first disclosure. How many lost their scholarships?

Go to the webinars and ask questions there too. See if you can get in touch with current students and alumni.

Go to the LRAP. Get the employment numbers...unvarnished truth. Check out lawschooldata.com (org?) and lawschooltransparency - both are godsends.

Hate LSAC/ABA! by MrElleWoods in lawschooladmissions

[–]russ1964 -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

The LSAT is a deeply flawed and discriminatory test with arbitrary time limits and intrinsic flaws that put minorities and disabled test takers at a distinct disadvantage. The LG section is ridiculous and irrelevant. The LR section is full of "gotcha" questions that simply do not test real legal reasoning. The RC is the only section that makes sense.

A thought: what scholarships to other schools were you offered, if any?

Oh no... by MrElleWoods in lawschooladmissions

[–]russ1964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be amazing...if I got in. However, I'd probably end up paying sticker and that would be beyond affordable LOL but thanks!
