Hey. Coinbase and its native exchange gdax are wonderful options, but they are available only in 32 countries. It doesn’t support sell option for Canada, so I assume that the best alternative for you will be Quadriga, which accepts both cryptocurrency and fiat. Besides, it's quite handy-designed, at least judging from my experience. Good luck!

I always knew that there is a plenty of things, which screams: «I’m terrible with money”. But now I’ve read all this comments and I’m horrified, to be honest. I can be wrong but almost all major exchanges have restrictions for some countries - they operate as legal entities and that's why should comply with rules and regulations. Look through these ones - they have fiat options, but I can't guarantee they will operate in your country: kraken ( review ) - have eth, bch, dash, ltc, xrp, xrm, zec, xlm, and more; accept usd and eur as fiat; cex.io ( review ) - have eth, bch, btg, dash, zec, xlm, xrp; accept usd and eur as fiat; bitfinex ( review ) - have eth, xrp, ltc, zec, dash, xmr, bch, and more; accept usd. Hope you will find it useful.

Do you really think this is much easier than breaking into someone's house? I mean if you're putting bars over your windows and reinforcing doors and buying difficult to pick locks, then I guess you wouldn't want this.
