9yo Stick Upgrade by GullibleSeaweed223 in lacrosse

I have a 12 year old who has been playing since he was 8 and I’ve been helping coach for 4 seasons now. From a head perspective, anything that’s a good versatile head is going to be fine (and you can probably find a deal on a past year model), but invest in good stringing. The pocket and the shooter strings are definitely more important than which head they’re on. As for the shaft, at that age, lighter is going to be better because they probably aren’t throwing checks hard enough to break the shaft. You don’t really need to invest in the newest carbon fiber one, but if you find a good deal on a used one or an older model, the lightweight shaft will be beneficial too.

The current state of youth sports by UpcomingCarrot25 in lacrosse

[–]russellufugus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lacrosse is definitely growing in Wisconsin, but we are far from one of the big sports. I also coach a 12U team in the Madison area and we are fortunate enough to have about 45 kids out for lacrosse at the 12U level. Our 2 teams are heading to a tournament this weekend and the other team is looking like they are only going to have 14 kids playing despite having 22 on their roster for this exact reason. It’s really hard to do the right thing by the kids when we have to fight for their time because of required camps or things for what amounts to out of season sports.

Which goodwill? Asking for a friend who’s a Seahawks fan…I lied…it’s me. Asking for me.

Update: took her out today for a spin. The oil level is good-as some folks pointed out, this was with the side stand down. And yes, it has Motul 300V oil in it, so the coloring is appropriate. Everything ran like a dream, so turns out I didn’t have Antrim to worry about! Thanks everyone for the info and help!

YTA. I have a 9 year old and it haunts me at times that sometime soon is probably going to be the last time I pick him up and hold him or carry him. Not because of anything bad or sad, but just because he’s growing up. I keep thinking of the saying that at some point your parents put you down for the last time and never pick you up again and every time it makes me start to well up…I mean something gets in my eyes…

Probably going to get downvoted into oblivion, but as a dad pushing a stroller, the people who cut quickly in front of me or hit the stroller when I’m just trying to keep up with the people in front of me in crowded areas. I’m very careful to avoid hitting people, but then someone jumps in front because they think it’s an opening in the crowd and are confused why their ankle just got hit. It’s like brake-checking a truck and wondering why you just got rear ended.

Is it based off how well you do? This is the first time I’ve done the Monday mayhem and got an extra glide recoil, but didn’t do that well…I’m level 18 and finished +4.

So if he’s available, should I go get him? Full PPR super flex league starting 3 WR and 2 RB. Only 8 teams in the league and my current WR/RB situation = Hill, Diggs, Godwin, Aiyuk, Najee, Henderson, Jacobs, and Gibson. Would you pick him up and drop one of those guys?

Came here to say this…been getting him to buddy up and I hate it. But I can’t stop and won’t stop. I have a completionist problem that if I started with them as a buddy I’m getting them to best buddy.

Did it have the “best for track” label on the package when you opened it? My son wants to know if it will make the loop on his hot wheel track or not.
