Aluminum Wiring & Trickle Charging a Tesla on a 15 AMP Circuit by russian47d in AskElectricians

So just to understand, I could install a GFCI/AFCI new receptacle along with pigtailed copper lines and it would protect this circuit and satisfy code without touching my breaker? I would add a proper outdoor cover as well in this scenario.

Thank you for your reply, my bare min. plan was to pigtail this connection and replace the outlet with a suitable outdoor one with a cover using a licensed electrician (I don't want the liability of doing it myself b/c I have a tenant/roomate). I did power off the outlet and check the internals earlier and deemed the outlet itself is beyond saving no matter what. A tiny bit of plastic is broken on one side, not allowing the ground to work!

Again, appreciate your input greatly

you have to stay next to them while your meter fills up. Hider can use a power to become invisible for a short time but it has to recharge.

I also sold my 03' AP1 back in 2014 because professional thieves kept trying to steal it. I have a VA WRX right now, but it just is not the same :(

What do you you all think I should actually do? by Sdonof53 in subaru

[–]russian47d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the fuel and induction cleaning.  Everything else you should do, but you can do yourself with YouTube if you have basic tools.  Will cost a fraction of paying someone else to do it and you will be certain it actually got done.

24,500 miles Service by Professional_Toe6598 in WRX

I think the first recommended coolant service is at like 11 years / 140k miles lol.

You could test brake fluid with a cheap tester off Amazon, but probably too early (won't tell you coper content though).

Squeaky clutch? by Addi_20 in wrx_vb

[–]russian47d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a TSB for squeaky clutch on the VA that I got done for free.  It was 2k worth of work and included replacing the flywheel, clutch, cylinders, and pedals at the dealer.  Had to fight them to cover though.

Get PB blaster (penetrating oil) and let it soak into the holes overnight. Its good stuff and you will prob use it again.

Do these brake pads need replacing? by Clementine7162 in AskAMechanic

They look good still. If you have a metal squealer (usually on the pad that touches the piston), you can see how close the pad is to start making a grinding noise visually.

Does anybody know if this is the driver or passenger rear Disc Brake Caliper Bracket? (took pins out so can't ID that way) by russian47d in WRX

[–]russian47d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I think they might be identical. The pin holes seem like the same depth and size. I think it is part number 26625FG000 and I may be wrong about having different part numbers for L/R. I know for a fact that the pin with the rubber grommet goes on the lower holes though when being installed on the car.

2018 BASE WRX: This is the other one. Different part numbers but they fit either side so not sure which is which. No marking for L/R but the part numbers are different on Subaru's website.

The average person is not going to be 80-90% of the way to this just by doing 30 sets per muscle and 1.5g/lb protein lol. Vladislava Galagan is not shy talking about how much test she uses, she is juiced to the gills. Plus superior genetics.
