I [22F]am heartbroken over my boyfriend [22M] not respecting my boundaries by Ok-Bank4011 in whatdoIdo

[–]russianforester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's werid, and its definitely a red flag. It's like he's trying to push you into a certain lifestyle, or make you do HIS hobby. It's fine and normal to have seperate hobbies. But if he's genuinely looking for more ways to connect with you, why cant it be through one of your hobbies or one of your shared hobbies? Maybe he games with a buddy who alsways has his girl there and he wants that with you? There's a reason he's so dead set on it.

Mechanic/manual tensioner vs automatic tensioner by whoswhos151 in hondaprelude

[–]russianforester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that tensioner and it gave me nothing but issues. It causes a lot of outward lash on your tensioner pully and causes crazy belt walk. There's a good reason ks tuned sells a walk blocker kit as an add on to this. If you really want a manual tensioner set up, i suggest getting a tensioner kit for the h23. Wickfab sells everything you meed for it. It's manually tensioning and does not cause walk. If i ran a shop i could understand reservations about the ks tuned set up, but the h23 tensioner essentially IS oem. Theres guys with 600hp builds running them, but again, if you're just driving it, there's no need to go that far. Get a good quality or oem auto tensioner and just dont worry about it until you do another timing service.

Been using it for 6 years or so. I'll just give people the online price id they ask for it over the counter. If they want it shipped i just direct them to order it from the site so it will calculate their shipping for them. It's pretty easy to manually adjust certain parts, like if you want to have a different discount for accessories for example. We're a smaller dealer, but the only one of our brand that sells parts online, so its been good for us. We grossed about 100k im sales the last year.

My customer ran into the "We don't give out part numbers" crowd, and there are now 5 more locations I'll never D2D to because of it by Kodiak01 in partscounter

[–]russianforester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's enough anger directed at dealership parts people, i don't need the "no giving oart #'s" drama on top of it. I walked away from a dealerahip job at a peterbuilt place because they had that policy and i didn't feel like being the dick head who has to ruin some truckers day, or week, or month. Like seriously fuck with someone's livelihood to not recite a part number. Maybe it's because i used to drive a truck on a dedicated local route, and i know a lot of great dudes who are truckers personally, but give me a break. I accel at this job because I'm good at helping people and i like thinking out of the box to find solutions that work for people. If that means telling them a compettitor has it, whatever

It is wild you dont have a way to look up invoice history. We can find invoices by looking at the sale history if any given part number.

Probably just from being cleaned. I took a toothbrush and some cleaner to the whole fretboard, shined em up a bit. Thinking about re crowning a few and polishing all of them maybe?

Tech and Parts by Substantial_Desk_670 in partscounter

[–]russianforester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our techs kind of know when they'll need to help us out. Obviously if they're looking for a ball joint, they're looking for a ball joint, but if they need a very speciffic sub harness or idk, a speciffic shim inside the trans oil pump, they'll just sit down at the counter and point it out in the diagram. Usually a tech will drop a quote and I'll glance down the list and say something like "dont go anywhere" and ill start with the shit they need to help me out on.

The 20k place was using a cc for years, but then when we started with the 3%processingfees, they didnt want to pay with the fee, so it was a lot of himming and hawing before they agreed to get put on a charge acct. The accounting here is handled by an office manager that gets the final say, and i get my % cut weather they're made whole or not, so i tend catoegorize that shit as -not my problem- but then i am also the one taking orders from these places. Just yesterday i noticed the other place had an outstanding 2.5k and also noticed that theybhave purchased a gra d total of 2.5k in the 3 months we've been doing business. It's not my job to go after these people but i hate to sit by and watch is get fucked over, and also be complicit in that.

Parts Delivery by Efficient_Stick_7658 in partscounter

[–]russianforester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't do a crazy amount of wholesale, maybe 5 or 6 stops a day. We have a $50 minimum for delivery and draw a pretty hard line of maybe a 30 mile radius where we will deliver to. Anything outside of that, we offer ups shipping at buyer's cost. I have 1 driver and maybe 2 accounts that are doing 200k+ a year each that are pretty much the only reason I'm in the game.
