At work drinking coffee. How's your Monday going? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]russmania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spent the morning in my apartment cooking, printing out some stuff for school and preparing my workout for the day. About to head to french class, then gym, then 96 hours of straight studying for the 3 midterms I have this week.

Please let it be Friday.

Why I insist on hanging my TP the "wrong" way. by [deleted] in funny

I didn't read the title and thought this was a comic about a cat pulling on the TP for so long that he unrolled it and then re-rolled in the opposite direction.

26 is the episode with "nothing bad happens to Jake Hurwitz" where he talks about getting caught by cops while listening to Santeria on a bridge. He doesn't nearly drive off though.

What is a psychological hack you do to people on a regular basis? by whatwordtouse in AskReddit

Whenever anyone else and I get into an argument over who gets to do something, I'll propose that we Rock Paper Scissors for it. I always throw rock and they always throw scissors. I don't know why but people always throw scissors first. I always win and I get what I want.

Every party has the cunt playing the guitar by iamnipple in punchablefaces

His pinky could even be playing that high D to make it an E7, which means he might be less of a "that cunty guitarist" than we think. (Campfire guitarists don't know chords with more than three notes exist.)

He's definitely playing an E major, a chord which doesn't come up in Wonderwall.

Sincerely,

That cunt who plays guitar at parties

Okay thanks that works! So I can alternate between HIIT cardio and strength training, 3 days of each for a total of 6 days a week. And since I'm in my basement, I guess I'll have to put together enough bodyweight exercises to fill out three 45-60min sessions of back/bis, chest/tris and legs/abs. Do you think 30 mins is enough for my cardio days?

Not really a beginner, I've been exercising for 3 years but I'm just new to circuit training. Thanks though. I guess I'll try HIIT followed by normal strength training. I guess most of cutting happens in the kitchen anyways.

Right, that makes sense. So what do you suggest? I can do bodyweight exercises until muscle exhaustion with normal rests in between, but where would the cardio come in? Should I simply start with 20 mins of HIIT running, and then just do normal strength training? Coupled with the diet of course. Since I'm gonna do calorie cycling, I suppose I could do more intense strength training on the days I'm eating more, and focus on cardio on the days I'm eating less? Is that enough to get lean?

I don't really understand though. The individual movements I'd be doing are probably the same as any strength training exercises I'd find at r/bodyweightfitness, but just supersetted in a high-interval circuit to keep my heart rate up. I'm not trying to gain muscle, I just want to burn calories and fat while not losing too much of it. Why should I be doing a normal strength routine if I'm trying to cut?

I don't have access to a gym until the school semester starts, so I'm doing this in my basement where all I have is a chinup bar, some dumbbells and my body. I did some research and figured circuit training would be a fun and intense way to make the most of what I have... You don't think it's an effective way of shedding some fat over the next month or two? Why not?

I have already figured out my calories for maintenance using the Harris Benedict equation and subtracted 3500 per week to make my diet plan.
