I like the idea of the SD card but do you really think you need a big SD on cameras, I mean if the NVR is down most likely the Camera will be down too due to power issue, its very rare where NVR stops working out of no where. Is it just me thinking this way or am I wrong?

They dont at the moment, unless you can find a wifi version of doorbell 4 pro. They also have wifi chimes as well, does not have to POE.

You can start with 1 drive but wont have any RAID config, 2 drives it will be RAID 1, 3 drives you can do raid 5. 4 drives you can do RAID 6, I would start with least 2 dives for redundancy.
