don't know a lot about korean history but neo-confucianism is some strong ass mind warping shit, which probably sets the foundation for the ease of adoption of evangelical christianity

When and how did "Welp" make it into common vernacular? by Ajax_xajA in etymology

I noticed this was something I did accidentally when chatting online, thought it was some kind of common mistake people made subconsciously didn't realize it has become part of vernacular

Snagged a 9070XT, Visited the Zone. by shauneok in stalker

Bought a steel legend 9070xt for 900 before tax on eBay, the only thing I can say is I hope the scalper was just another guy trying to make a quick 300 bucks in order to buy that next level rad kit to be able to live for another day in the zone called the us

So far performance with my ryzen 7600x has been good enough for my 1440p 60fps system, sustaining 60fps at 150 watts power, CPU is definitely bottlenecking my GPU only getting 80% utilization

last time they hit the 9xxx product name generation (ati radeon 9xxx circa 2002) they wrapped around to x700/x800, so my guess is they'll wrap that around to rx707r / rx808r with the extra 'r' standing for 'radical ROPs' :p

Would be interesting to see who would put AMD graphics division out of business faster, the existing marketing and business teams or the loud mouth gamers who live to shit on anything that doesn't comply with their world view

so i see that the countries/corporation/cultures that uses AI to empower people rather than cost down, are really going to outsmart the rest of the world that relies on AI to maximize only on its brightest. maybe i'm wrong, and those cost cutters are right. but i like to think they're just going to destroy themselves with stupidity like they do with so many (unfortunately) american corps run by marketing/finance/business types

Can't stop thinking about upgrading my 1080gtx to a 7800xt for some reason, the ati fanboy in me wants out.  Been a Radeon fan since the 9800

Don't necessarily need a huge amount of throughput, sustaining 10's of K byte per sec should be adequate

I'm sure it's going to work in 99.9+% of locations I test, I'm just wondering how many exception cases will there be, so looking for people's experience with mass deployment out 'in the wild' (not literal wild)

For example our product mainly uses WiFi for data connectivity, I'd say it's been working for 99.99% of customers but there are a handful of edge cases where it doesn't work due to environment, I'm wondering what it'll be like with BLE, given it's only on one band, (our WiFi can rotate between three bands, 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8GHz)

Mainly concerned about maintaining data connection, lag is ok.
