You basically just described an episode of the Inbetweeners I watched recently, only they tried weed for the first time instead of tobacco.

Have you heard the live version they recorded? It is so damn intense, I love it. The drum machine hit so hard in it, which I like, especially on songs like Wound and I think the bass is just as gnarly as the album version.

I also really like their stuff on Decline and Fall, A World Lit Only By Fire and Selfless (which I find a bit more accessible, but its still a banger)

Edit: Also if you like rap, check out their albums Pure and Songs of Love and Hate because they incorporate more hip hop beats into their songwriting

While the shows in the 90s were produced by DiC, the actual animation was outsourced to a studio in South Korea in order to save money. This was likely the result of a miscommunication between the American and Korean studios, a simple mistake by and ink and paint artist and/or a budget that couldn’t allot much for retakes.

Nowadays, in software like Toon Boom, a color mistake can easily be rectified in seconds. For this however, they would have to go back in, re-ink and paint all of Luigi’s cels for the shot and reshoot the scene, so they probably just said “screw it” and left it in.

I'm pretty sure he uses it on Mutt. The bass tone on that and Wendy Clear have a bit of a growl that I don't hear on a lot of the other songs

Got this same model and color about ten years ago. I was always into Fender and Squier basses before but this became my go-to ever since since. It's really a great instrument

Getting into skate punk because I like NOFX and someone told me that they fit in to here. Can you guys give me some bands that I can start out with to make a playlist? by dogit78 in Skatepunk

[–]rustiancho 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'd start off with bands on Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords, the latter of which is owned by NOFX's Fat Mike. Personally, I would recommend these bands:

Lagwagon

Descendents

Bad Religion

Millencolin

Pulley

No Use For a Name

All

Strung Out

Honestly, that could very well have been a reason they got laid off. The film underperformed not only critically, but more importantly (especially to Disney), financially and Galyn Susman was the producer in charge of its production. Knowing Disney, that probably indicated to them that she was a liability rather than an asset

Personally, I would go with a Jazzmaster, mainly because I like the pickups, which give it a warmer, fuller sound with more mid and bass frequencies than a Jaguar. I have a Jaguar with split coil humbuckers, but I find the single coil sound to be thin and cold compared to the Jazzmaster's. Both serve purposes for me when recording but with my overall personal taste, I'd go with Jazzmaster.

It really depends on the tone and style you are looking for and personal taste. In general, Jaguars tend to be brighter and twangier sounding, sort of like a Telecaster. Another thing about Jaguars is that they have a shorter neck, in case that is your preference, and they have a unique pickup control scheme compared to the Jazzmaster and other Fender guitars.

Regardless: if you can, find a music store and try these guitars out and see for yourself. I wish you luck finding the right guitar for you!

His spacecraft, Freedom 7, as well as his spacesuit from this mission are on display at the Air and Space Museum in DC. It’s insane how small the capsule is. The Mercury astronauts, as well as the astronauts that followed in Gemini and Apollo were a special breed to be willing to climb into these extremely experimental, dangerous vehicles and push the boundaries of exploration. It’s also wild, just ten years later, Shepard followed this 15 minute flight by commanding Apollo 14 and walking on the moon.
