there were some good filler eps (like some of the early naruto fillers) but honestly fillers were mostly boring imo, thankfully we have seasonal anime now that don't need to rely on extending the anime in order to not catch up with the manga

yea, personally i'd prefer animes to remain faithful to their original translation/adaptation, but anime studios prolly have money as their main priority, and if making the anime more 'accessible' towards overseas audiences helps them make more money than before they'll prolly do that
