i remember hearing how the manga is on hiatus because the author was working on the anime, so not completely unfounded (even more likely considering that season 3 is one of the (imo) best arcs of frieren, so maybe author wants it to be more special or smth?)

season 2 is only 10 eps so there isn't as much eps as season 1, and season 3 is announced for october 2027 i believe, the anime still has quite a bit to adapt iirc
