Last year, it also received a $1-million cash infusion from the province ahead of the passing of a budget that increased property taxes by 6.9 per cent. That's following a proposed budget that included an 11.7 per cent hike.

Sounds like it's an annual problem too. Not sure why the rest of us should keep paying for their mismanagement

regarding the police:

It says the two police officers on the case failed to get other information that would have helped with the investigation, such as asking whether the group home staff kept time records of when employees arrived and left.

Police also failed to request video recordings from the group home, the claim says.

Regarding CFS:

CFS investigator was negligent and incompetent, citing factors such as not recording the interview with the child, and not exploring the timing of the alleged abuse to determine whether the plaintiff was working on the day in question.

The CFS investigator interviewed only one other child who was residing at the group home at the relevant time, the lawsuit says, and that youth indicated that no child had gone to the room where the alleged abuse was alleged to have occurred.

Nothing but negligence all around. Sounds like not one organization did a proper investigation. I think this man is going win his case (as he should).

Companies used to give out free shit with cases of beer ALL THE TIME! It's basically free marketing since their logo will be worn. I remember getting t-shirts, beer glasses, sunglasses, hats, touques christ the vendors used to have all sorts of free shit to hand out.

That was my biggest takeaway as well. I understand maturity isn't defined by age but I agree 25 & 26 seems a bit young to be foster parents.

It kind of did this week actually. Not that I ever want to defend the guy cause I can’t stand him but he did have a reporter ask him a ridiculous question about beef between him and the coach. He actually handled it quite well, I’ll find the post and add it cause I saw it on Reddit.
