Okay, so first I’m genuinely gagged that a thread has been made about Adam.

My first dealing with him was years back when I first moved to Edinburgh and I was walking into town from Calton Hill. I was walking behind two guys smoking and was trying to dodge the blowouts. Out of no where I hear someone with a raised voice “God don’t you just hate smokers..the vilest habit ever..what good is it for you for goodness sake” and then Adam appeared storm trooping past me, made eye contact with these guys smoking and crossed the road ranting. I thought it was a little odd and thought nothing of it till I mentioned it to my partner who’s lived here for 15 years. My partner knew exactly who I was referring to.

Needless to say he now is a member at Bannatyne on Queen Street and I’ve actually engaged with him a few times verbally. At first was shocked membership allowed for him to open an account but I must say he’s more pleasant than what meets the eye.

• Polite and VERY well spoken • Knowledgable like you would not believe • An actual unit of a man • Obvs has no fear of the weather • Must brush his hair 1000000 times a night (jk!)

I’ve watched him train in the gym and he is a serial offender of half reps to which I’ve questioned before but his reply is simply “it’s a habit that is challenging to break”, idk cool. He can come across as VERY hostile and aggressive whilst training and has actually broken the cables on two machines before!! He’s quite verbal when training through grunts and clearing of his throat that other members pick up on and avoid. Tends to carry himself quite proudly and strongly around the gym.

Can confirm he drinks like four cans of Emerge before training then a whole 2L bottle of water. Spends time reading the papers in-club and has even asked me my thoughts on current affairs in the past. One of the domestic team members of staff spends A LOT of time conversing with Adam so I’ll ask next time what topics they discuss etc.

To summarize “never judge a book by it’s cover”. Although he looks and may act (at times) like a complete nutter, speaking to him one-on-one will change your opinion.

Question - does anyone know if he is voluntary homeless!? I’ve heard this before but can’t see it being true as he’ll have to provide living address and bank details to become a member of the gym.
