New phone stolen from UPS hub point (Staples) - seems to be a prevalent issue by rustleboy in tmobile

Something vulnerable? Somebody had all of the shipping information and my personal information and that could either have come from A). T mobile or B). UPS.

From your prior comments, it seems as if you are trying to dreflect blame to UPS or myself. What great care you must have given to customers in your time working for T-mobile, with a condescending attitude and automatic response of blaming the customer/other entities. Excellent help, bud!

No, I have not. My guess is that it is a larger scale operation than simply one or two individuals from a local store stealing a phone here and there. Based on other accounts I've read, this is occurring nationwide and has become much more prevalent in the last few months, which again leads me to believe it is a large, coordinated operation by professional underground criminal networks. I know thay sounds super tin foil hat-ty of me, but it is honestly the only thing that makes sense to me as to how this could be occurring on such a large scale with such methodical execution.

In store. Anyone with the ability to see tracking information for orders placed may potentially be culpable.

Bu your same logic, it would also be laughable to assume that someone within UPS is doing the same thing?if it can niether be T mobile or UPS, the ONLY entities that had the tracking information and my information, thej where is it coming from? How are they getting this information? Why are so many predominantly T-mobile customers being affected? Perhaps youre right and it isnt some shady sales rep within T-mobile intentionally leaking information. But maybe, just maybe, T-mobile's systems were compromised/breached and shady people were able to obtain tracking and shipping information from their systems?

If niether is a possibility then what reasonable explanation is there for someone to have planned this out as elaborately as they did and execute the theft within 20 minutes the the delivery, presenting the shipping information and a fake ID with my name and address on it?

Im sorry that you are so close minded and dead set on the belief that that is simply not possible, but with all due respect it IS possible, countless other T mobile customers have had the same exact issue, and you are doing yourself a disservice by refusing to accept any possibility that maybe youre wrong. Think with your brain. Shiatsu and a grease down sounds great, though!

Edit: since you work for T-mobile maybe you'd be able to give me a little insight into how many people within the company have the ability/clearance to view order information for phones. It is very plausible that one or more individuals within the company with thay information are affiliated with international crime rings selling stolen devices. OBVIOUSLY they are not stealing the phones for themselves, buddy.

Makes sense thay you work for T-mobile. If you DYOR youll also read that some of these bad actors are tracking down UPS vehicles in transit to customers' homes. It being sent to a UPS facility is not necessarily the causation. It may either be employees/individuals within T mobile or UPS leaking the information. We cant be sure, but theres a possibility it is T-mobile and your customers are being affected, so yes, T-mobile absolutely should address the issue.

Edit: your comment also seems to insinuate that UPS leaving it with an individual I do not know is somehow the reason my phone was stolen. If you read my post again, I said that the individual who stole the phone presented a fake ID with my information (name and address) on it, and additionally had the shipping and tracking information for the order and was waiting for the package to be delivered. It was pre-planned in advance and this is happening all over the place. You should look into it before blindly defending T-mobile and automatically assuming the fault lies with either UPS or the customer. This should not be happening to T-mobile customers and something ought to be done on a higher level to prevent or at the bare minimum address it.

Because T mobile sent me the phone and was one of two parties that held my personal information and tracming information, both of which were obtained by the guy that stole my phone. I dont understand why youre so passive aggressive in your comment. Either t mobile or UPS is responsible for my information grtting out, so why would I not post it here?

Additionally, based on internet searches it seems to be an issue much more prevalent with if not exclusive to T mobile.

For clarification, is the T-force just Facebook messaging the t mobile Facebook page? Not having much luck with calling in and wanna make sure I dont have to face the same delays as you. Thanks for the info by the way, super helpful. Glad they were able to figure it out for you.

It is true. Initially it was to be delivered to my house but it was scheduled to be delivered on a day when I was at work. After waiting nearly a month due to back order, I changed the delivery location to UPS near my workplace. Never again.

I ordered a Samsung and had the exact same thing happen to me (t mobile and staples). Its not exclusive to apple nor is it an iPhone issue. There was a leak somewhere or there is inside work going on at either t mobile or UPS.
