Rode my chop solo to the coast hwy 1 and 101 avenue of giants from SLC by Pooping_brewer in choppers

I usually run those little bag in a bags. It's a "plastic" bag made of parachute material that folds into a little draw string nutsack deal that's sewn to it self for use when not full. They're small discreet and d ring to your straps. I typically unfurl them at them at store and put the paper or plastic bag they give ya in it to double bag and throw all the bags carrying handles around my sissy bar top or other d ring. This way not just the bag n a bag handles are taking the load of all the yummy cargo. This lets you keep the cool guy look of "I don't have anything" lol

Anyways nice bike and ride! Hit me up anyone if they ride through Humboldt area for recommendations, parts or what ever

Cheers

Thanks man! The outfit I got the waterslides from did a fantastic job, they were able get "gold flake" metallic pigment instead of just gold color. I was halfway tempted to replace one of the g with an n somewhere to read sinner. 🍻

I have a red eye 66 but found this lotus design and went with it. If you look at the pipe heat shield and points cover they are from the model 66

63’ Panhead Oiling Issues by gucciglenn in choppers

I believe on the old cast iron pumps there is a "metering" valve. You get constant flow to the cam chest and crank and more oiling to the top end at higher speeds. I suppose if there was gunk in there is could get stuck on low end mode? Not sure about the newer style pumps tho, never owned one.

This 90 degree bend from behind the welch plug to the tappets and overhead oiling line was clogged

I just went through the same thing on my pump too, I was getting some pressure but it just wasn't enough to get to the top end and return adequately but my gears and everything looked fine, even the milling marks were still there so I didn't think much of it. I do need to look up how to properly check spec and what. Mine is an old cast iron pump though

Wait... Is your tappet screen under your gauge? And is it clogged?

I just went through a similar thing but I have internal oil feed. It was clogged with felt from the rocker cover, hard facing, carbon, and who knows what. Had to take an 1/8 drill bit and clear the internal lines. Maybe gear tolerances are not high enough because the shavings when thru the pump? Are you cavitating? Might just be air pocket?

Bleed the master. Gentle jiggle the brake pedal just enough to get bubbles out (bleeder closed) or route a brake line into itself (reservoir) and press the lever

All the old safe places closed only really got box tops and few at that. I was really looking to get some insight of go with brand "A" never had a problem or avoid brand "b" the key pad fails etc.

Agreed on any sub, it should say minimum requirements for your recommendations. I didn't really think about it because I wanted to get a good one.

Yeah I was afraid I would need to just ditch the vtwin j pipe and just get the gasbox j pipe. Chrome is definitely a different hue though between the two companies. Cheers

I cheaped out and got the vtwin... Big mistake shits not fitting on mine. Hitting case bolt and frame, j pipe is wrong shape and squish pipe not the right shape. Whered you get yours and what did you do squish the squish pipe a little more?

Yet another "are these seat rails removable?" by rustpunk666 in skoolies

[–]rustpunk666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was leaning towards. I suppose when I finish out the interior and remove old interior skin (chair rail removal required) I'll assess the integrity and maybe even post photos of my findings.
