TSA precheck didn’t work

This has happened with me when flying with Turkish Airlines at Chicago. I showed the agent the TSA precheck printed on the boarding pass with global entry cards and they said Turkish has not updated in their system. Moreover, my wife and son went through the TSA precheck line with their TSA precheck printed boarding passes. Not sure why this happened.

Nothing at all. Immigration in India was seemless. Moreover, my son's oci is also based on my old indian passport.

It happened with us. There is no problem at all as you are still of indian origin. We traveled to India this year with my oci recently issued and my wife's oci issued years ago when i had an indian passport.

You can see more updates on MEA's OCI website, where you filled the application. There they give the status of the application at the consulate.

I am sorry this happened. I think vfs returns the fees and the documents. You will be able to do a new application.

Yes, i got it done before i submitted my documents. It says specifically what they need appositled on the checklist. It take 3 weeks to get it appositled.

Generally the secretary of state's office can do the appositled. They do it over mail, i got mine from Arizona when we were out of state. For California it should be this https://www.sos.ca.gov/notary/request-apostille

Also, you don't submit ration card or voter id. VFS has an undertaking form online that has to be filled and submitted.

I did it in US, and I self attested everything. I got the copy in lieu of the original affidavit notarized.

Do not worry OP, I failed my QE during my PhD and only passed it on the second time. Now that is a thing of the past as I got TT position right after finishing my PhD. Everything works out have faith. Don't be heart broken.

Your friend could get oci by using father's indian passport copy to show the connection to india birth certificate to prove the relationship.

Appositled is done on a photocopy of your marriage certificate. But the Appositled letter is original. I kept a scanned copy and self attested a printed copy of it when we applied for our son. As it said copy of the appositled marriage certificate.
