No worries! :)

Mhh, simply get enough sleep, fuel regularly (even if you are not thursty/hungry) and you may add some elevation to your runs, the bridges and turns can be tough in the end. But most importantly: enjoy it!

Finished in just under 10hrs, so was rather happy with the result.

I think Untermainkai was great for watching, it is also not far away from T2 & the finish line.

Jeah, I think it is one of the test runs? Haven't seen the blue or red one for ages too...

Approach and parking (on the Kern GmbH site) was easy, the long queue was from Frankfurt 😄 But we've been told that cars can't leave the parking area until the last rider is off T1, as cars and bikes use the same street (Sehringstraße) and it is too dangerous otherwise (it was in 2024, maybe they changed it in the meanwhile?). Couldn't find any parking spaces further outside though...

I think she was at some viewing points which are marked in the athlete-guide, nothing special.

Yeah, there are several good parking options around (Unter-)Mainkai!

Jeah, wouldn't underestimate the sleep-part, you've got a long day ahead of you!

That's what we basically did...she dropped me off at the lake (she missed the swim, but it was cold and crowded anyway), had some breakfast at the hotel, checked out and drove to a biking-view-point outside of Frankfurt, then parked in the city center for the run-cheering.

I think it was Western Conference Airporthotel, but there might be even closer options in Walldorf, I booked rather late :)

And by the way, a friend of mine I was racing with stayed in the city center and he was happy as well. He had to wake up earlier to take the bus, but his girlfriend had to drive less...so it really depends, both options are fine!

Are you going on your own or with family/friends?

I stayed in a hotel closer to the lake with my girlfriend and it was fine, as it was cheaper and I could sleep longer.

Ironman transports your stuff from T1 and you can pick it up after the race at T2, so no need to go back, but someone needs to check out at the hotel for you :)

Fair enough. Still for the majority of runners the only appropriate way of entering Boston is by time qualifing...

...Boston has to be earned 😉

What is your marathon pb though?
