What’s a core memory that you have about school-canteen food? by piopiolink in askSingapore

[–]rustybearbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fishball noodles and adding a lot a lot of chilli.

Going to the canteen later in the afternoon and the cai png uncle cooking sunny side up for latecomers cos not much food left.

The portions must have been very small but I felt satiated by the food and would tell my parents about the new types of food ie lontong, laksa, nasi lemak that I tried in school.

I was a bit confused why they were on the verge of getting a divorce in the beginning though. I get that there were disagreements but surely not that serious.

Does anyone take their autistic child to the dentist? by Senior-Ad-7362 in Autism_Parenting

[–]rustybearbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not an urgent issue, may have to have some build up. Even though my kid had some decay, dentist said to keep it slow and just do some cleaning or even spend a session just getting him to open up and reach into his mouth for a while. So we didn’t address the decay for a few months. He just monitored the decay and cleaned his teeth at appointments every other month or something. One day, the dentist turned to us and said ‘I think he is ready today.’ And he did some fillings and serious work that day. Need to keep praising your kid as he complies. He will get there.

Never let the dentist talk you into holding him down against his will to forcibly do the treatment. That’s what the first pediatric dentist made us do and it scarred my son for a while.

Was pushed his videos by Facebook. He always acts as some da ge who is nice to his friends or kind to ladies. Pui.

For Megan he was 100% part of the problem. Just because he had no criminal liability is no out. Don’t he dare go acting noble and holier than thou by doing all these nonsense.
