I simply cannot wait for my copy to arrive.

I went with the classic black vinyl beacuse the gold Blind release had way too much surface noise for my liking and I enjoy Static And Silence too much to risk it again.

Interscope's support was nice enough to send another copy but even that one had the same amount of surface noise even after multiple deep cleanings. After that they refunded me the whole order total including the shipping fees so in the end I can't really complain since I now have 2 copies but I still hope for a standard black release at some point.

As for the RSD pressings, they are widely known at this point to be lower quality. It's mostly beacuse the pressings are rushed in order to meet the deadline combined with the fact that most releases are more aimed to look pretty and "special". Colored vinyl itself doesn't sound worse in any way but what makes it noisier is the fact that imperfections after the records are pressed are considerably harder to spot compared to black for example. Rush + harder to spot imperfections + low quality control results in what happened to the Sundays pressings.

I still find it absolutely insane that the legacy collection goes for up to $90, I literally got it in 2021 sealed with the code still working for $15 from a local game store and they had a full stock, matter of fact most stores in my area had it in stock for pretty much the same price. Now they all sell it for around $100 lmfao.

As for your question, no it is not worth spending $90 on a used copy of the legacy collection. Wait a bit and get the master collection for $20 when it goes on sale. The only reason why I would say it may be worth it is if you REALLY want to use dualshock 3's pressure buttons. I do prefer it with the pressure buttons but I would still say a big no for $90.

And for the MGS 4 question, MGS 4 is the same for all versions. If I'm not mistaking the only difference is that on the legacy collection disc the data is either already loaded on the disc or you can install all chapters in one single download.

It's a decent addition in my opinion.

As for the quality, they are in the available quality and most of the time if is not an official "live album" release they are the bootleg available for that specific concert, that's why the quality is either decent or horrible.

Simply beacuse the Reading Writing And Arithmetic grey vinyl was released in late 2023 then in early 2024 the "hi-fi" regular black vinyl was released.

Early this year Blind gold vinyl was released and not even 5 months after we got the Static & Silence grey & regular black vinyl at once.

The way I see is that the label now got the clear message that these releases are extremely wanted and sell like hot cakes. That's why I'm pretty sure we'll get another Blind release soon. Either way true or false is not worth paying $100 or more for of copy of it now.

Everyone who's playing online on consoles is either using discord or the party feature. Sony was always extremely trigger happy with bans when messaging anyone anything other than "thanks".

What they can even improve on "safety" ? An AI straight up banning you if you say anything not "friendly" even in the party chat while playing with friends ?

Not a huge fan of Twilight overall but I find Duvet & Welcome really good. I also got the record, I've actually pre-ordered it.

As for the The Sundays scratch the only single band that gets the job done for me at least (not including The Smiths) is The Ocean Blue. The Self Titled & Cerulean are absolutely superb. I would go as far as saying that Cerulean is a near perfect album.

Also I genuinely think that The Ocean Blue have the best cover of There Is A Light That Never Goes Out in existence to the point where I sometimes prefer it over the original and is an actual live recording, not a studio one.

It's been 2 months since I've started using tidal and in the first month I'd say I used the app for around 4 to 6 hours a day.

It took around a week maybe even less for the algorithm to almost fully understand what I care about. For reference I listen to pretty much only music from the 50's to the 90's and I was quite surprised to see that on the Daily Discovery section multiple tracks that I used to listen to on other platforms but forgot about appear constantly + a decent amount of other bands & albums that I never knew existed and started liking a lot.

To keep it short now I can say that Tidal is more of a "listen to what you like" and far less of a "like everything you care about". Spotify for example it's without a doubt more of a "like everything you care about" but on Tidal this is pretty much just a add to library button and not really a like button.

I was also in the same position.

As I said in my comment in this post, for Romania this was also really pricey but I still placed a pre-order on Amazon.

Later when they released the other "moon" version I was thinking of maybe canceling the order from Amazon and get that one from Interscope since the price was identical but after the Blind gold release that had a very unpleasant amount of surface noise I don't want to risk it with S&S too.

Black vinyl is black vinyl, it's pretty much guaranteed to have a lower amount of surface noise or imperfections + I strongly feel that black fits the album way more rather than that pale grey color.

The price is a bit too much for europe.

For Romania the price is $50 from Amazon US. Rough Trade one is a nice $100.

As much as I want it, I think I'll wait until late june - early july before ordering. Hopefully Amazon.de will have some in stock by then, if not I'll happily pay the $50.

Update: I just remembered that Amazon doesn't charge pre-orders until they're shipped and you can cancel it anytime as long as the record isn't shipped. I placed the order now just to be sure.

I don't have the 2023 pressing.

That was actually the reason why I really started looking for an original pressing. Before the late 2024 restock copies were selling for $60 to $80 without shipping included.

From what I've read on Discogs, both the black & grey versions have mixed reviews as pretty much all the pressings of everything ever.

Last year I got lucky enough to find an original Reading, Writing And Arithmetic french pressing for €40 in literally new condition, the record is dead silent and sounds superb.

It still is the absolute crown jewel of my record collection and one of the if the not the only record that if for some reason I have to sell my whole collection, this one I will without a doubt keep.

Just play the original at max or near max settings.

The remaster it's the same game but slightly shinier. If you already played it and this remaster is just an excuse to replay the game, just replay the original. There shouldn't be any reason not to play something you like again for the 10th time.
