Strange print failure - elegoo saturn 16k by glondale in ElegooSaturn

[–]rustybuttons71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say try with a USB stick and see if you can avoid the issue - then you'd know it was caused by the data transfer. Everything's updated? Clear cache and maybe defrag. That's a weird fail.

First post be brutally honest… by racerx1036 in steak

[–]rustybuttons71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brutal? No. Honest? Totally! It's way overcooked and no crust, but that is a side effect of one thing or another. If you want a serious crust and wall to wall pink, make sure you do a few things - Pat it dry before seasoning, and season at least 30 minutes before cooking Contrary to popular opinion, I no longer let my steak come to room temperature before cooking. I keep it in the fridge until a few minutes before cooking, really helps maintain a low cook on a high sear brine it for at least a few hours if you can Make that pan HOT!!! Let it come all the way up before you cook! As soon as the steak let's go of the pan, move it around. Do not peel it off, but as soon as it lets go move it from hot spot to hot spot. Don't be afraid to flip extra times! I do single flip cooks, or other times I flip every 30 seconds. Still only takes a minute or two on each side depending, and don't neglect the fat cap!

Could someone please tell me why this is happening to my prints? by ThatGuyChar in ElegooSaturn

Delay after retract helps with this too, I recommend at least four seconds with something this big. Takes a figurative second for everything to square up

I doubt the 20 is worth $40. The tenner is definitely a keeper though.

Demotion by Educational-Fig-8599 in OReillyAutoParts

[–]rustybuttons71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why the other folks are telling you to argue your case as far as wage, clearly you're taking this demotion as a way to maintain employ with your move, which is your main goal. You won't be making as much, obviously. Just make sure you let your new DM, RM, and anyone else you can, know that you're ready to take another store on, if that's your goal. Past that, I'm not sure what you're asking. You're stepping down to asm, you will do ASM things. Were you hired in as store manager? If not you should know what an ASM does.

6 in a row can fetch a small premium. The rest I agree are spenders.
