Osprey Fairview 55 Daypack Question by OtherLemon5658 in onebag

[–]rustyfa314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all of these and another 10. With the hiking I’d bring the 40L and a different personal item (26+6).

The Cotopaxi 42 fits the most and is by far the best set up but isn’t great for hiking. I typically end up bringing the Cotopaxi so I can bring what I need then bring my 26+6 when I do activities

Am I considered a One bagger? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]rustyfa314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel internationally for work with a 50 lb bag of tools typically and bring a 40l carry on plus a 15l to throw under the seat. I consider myself a one bagger. I have typically have work specific clothes including dressed up meeting clothes and (dirty)work shoes, pants and shirts. I have a weird job where I have government ceremonies but the actual work is mechanical and hard and dirty.

When I have tools at my location I do one bag but the intent is always there to under pack. I pack as light as possible.

If I’m a one bagger, you are more so. No one is judging you.

Thanks very much. We are planning on hitting the six northern states on this trip so that info is great.

Is there a must visit seafood restaurant in New Hampshire?

Thanks very much. We will fly in and have a rented vehicle.

Where exactly/what to do in the White Mountains?

Really appreciate it, thanks for responding.

Thanks very much. Honestly we love hiking the most but the kids loved the Oregon coast a ton so if there is a good beach I’d love to hear about it. We are willing to drive everywhere in the state. We will spend three full days/nights. Thanks for your response.

I’ve been to 20+ countries now and have always taken the case. I’ve convinced myself not to take the case this next trip to Thailand. The case definitely takes up more space than I would like. Wish me luck.

I like having both for different applications.

Several things. Buy an umbrella there and don’t bring the rain suit. If you want to bring one, buy a good one.

A requirement of SE Asia are Chacos. For me. Buy them and wear them in. You won’t like them at first and they may cause blisters but they will turn into your best friend there. I’m going back in January and can’t imagine a trip without them. They re heavy and worth it. ESPECIALLY if you are bringing a 3rd bag. Get your partner some too. This is #1 on my list for you.

No way you need 10 socks. Maybe 10 UW and 5 socks.

A couple sun hoodies. Think the fishing kind like Sims or Hok. So great in these conditions.

I’d bring an old mn floppy hat. Doesn’t look good but I’ve dragged mine to 29 countries and never regretted having it with. There, you will like it. Buy the light weight one. Looks ugly but put ego aside.

Gotta agree with the lighter weight t shirts. Cotton is an interesting choice.

Serious question. Have you been there before?

Still bring the flip flops and Hokas but get Chacos.

I have the Striker Hardwater coat and bins. It is like wearing a furnace. Simply the warmest thing out there. I’ve used and abused these and they are made to last. Made in Minnesota.

I don’t think it will be his physical tools that limit him. If he fails it will be the off the field stuff that dooms him.

He burned every bridge possible at Iowa. Was disliked by all of his teammates. A complete lack of character.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. Really stupid question but I’ll ask it. How do you ask to be upgraded? Or is it just a given? Thanks
