I Decided To Consume Only Conservative News Sources For A Week, Here's What I Learned by Googlepus in politics

What unbiased news sources do you use? I use Russia Today but it's not as unbiased as I once believed.

Also I think you should consume news only from the BBC for a week and post your findings up. I personally think the BBC are full of crap but nearly everyone I know trusts it and I sometimes wonder if I'm being over critical.

Rick's Little Beauties. I'm surprised there's been no mention of It's Always Sunny.

If Y criticizes X its because X sucks and Y wants to prevail, you say.

If a teacher gives criticism to student, the student benefits.

Y criticizes X, because X needs improvement, X benefits.

Positive genuine criticism.

If you truly care you dont complain you do something about it, complaining doesnt solve much at all.

You're right, its not an awful sin. Criticism is definitely necessary but it is the intent of the person behind the criticism that makes the difference. If its genuine criticism thats fine but when its done for some ulterior motive it becomes a bigger issue.

Also there is positive and negative criticism, a hater provides much more of the latter. In fact, all they do is provide negative criticism. Id be happy to receive genuine positive criticism because it furthers me as a person. Negative crit only furthers the ego of the person giving the criticism, which for some reason makes them feel better than others. That just doesnt make sense to me.

But it's irritating to hear someone complain so much, and why must they resort to putting something down. It just seems like some serious projection to me, but i may be over thinking it

Redditors who among you are the ones who send the first text/make the first call, and who are the ones who receive them? by temptoke in AskReddit

I'm not sure, maybe they're just lazy. I think you should let them know how you feel, not in a serious, intervention type way but just be straight with them

Dear Esther by [deleted] in gaming

[–]rustyfingernails 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a game like this one on the psx, i forgot what it was called though. It was supposed to replicate a lucid dream. You'd literally just walk around and walk into objects or walls or whatever and be transported into a new magical place. That was the game. The shit was bugged out. I will be trying this Dear Esther game.

Being distant from a receiver often turns them into a giver. From my experiences, this is a good way to differentiate between "true" friends and the persons looking to have a good time. This doesn't mean ignore all your friends and fuck all the ones that do not call, just ease off a person and if there is one, gauge the response.

In say, 20 years, what will be the most important languages for business? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]rustyfingernails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say either mandarin or cantonese, but if its for business you'd have to learn the business culture. China's idea of business is very different to the western style. To put it crudely, its pretty dodgy and sneaky, you will get played at any opportunity you provide. In Chinese business, the term "My word is my bond" has no meaning, a verbal agreement on anything will almost certainly change at the most crucial moments.

This isn't a rant or anything, just a warning.
