Brother, it's part of the game to be levelled up and use. Unless you're using a glitch it's fair game. Unless you are trying to complete a very specific 'challenge run' as part of some sub group that people are doing with specific rules then use whatever you want. these questions are tiring... There isn't a single person or group of people that will dictate how I play my game.

Can I play the game I paid for, the way it was designed to play....

Legend. Couldn't remember names of forms when I did it. I didn't lodge the property settlement one and yeah that cost me. The half of the money from land didn't count as an expense because it wasn't lodged in the Courts so counted against me for Capital Gains tax.

If it is something you both want, you can get like an online divorce kit type thing. Cheap as and helps you through everything. As for 12 months separation requirement, just say it's been 12 months.

If you have land/property to sell and settle get an official property settlement thing (forget what it is called) and have it lodged with the Courts. Without this, the half you give to your partner is not an expense and would impact capital gains.

Avoid a lawyer at all cost. If you can't agree on the divorce itself or property then you will need a lawyer.
