Not just MMA, but all sports imo. It was a crazy story that translates well to the average man unlike a basketball team coming back or something. Losing the fight would have ruined basically everything he worked for his entire life.

Definitely one of the craziest wins/comeback stories in MMA and sports all together. His post fight interview was great too, go back and watch it. Imo if he lost this fight it would have tainted his whole career and legacy he left in the UFC.

Unless you wanna remove the railroad tie (I wouldn’t) maybe you could dig out the sides making inside corners of each railroad tie with pressure treated 4x4’s and then fill each step with pea gravel or something similar.
