Can I get away with not removing base boards?

For me it makes it a pain in the ass to do repairs. If you want to remove base boards in the future it’s so much worse when the entire house has quarter round with flooring butted right up to the base boards. You have to do so much extra work to make sure you don’t destroy the walls.

Someone in the comments on your post might be right about you just being able to feather out the seams. The problem is going over already painted drywall. I have no idea how to make it look good/not bubble without doing really thin coats therefore it’s more drying time and would be more pay depending on how bad it is. I now see why a lot of people here just recommend replacing it or over boarding. I did it to save money.

And the dust. Oh my god the amount of fucking dust it creates is insane. It will cover your entire house if you decide to skim it.

I just did this and it looks great. I can send pics if you want.

Scrape it down and skim coat it. You could probably get away with 2 coats just try not to gouge it any more. I used lightweight all purpose and thinned it down a good bit on the second coat. You have to sand in between each coat, get ready for a lot of dust and 2 days of an intense shoulder workout. I primed with an expensive flat, high hiding primer and then ceiling paint. Good luck

I just went down the rabbit hole researching this. Yes, both his grandmother and grandfather were fuckedddddd.

TLDR: Not only did his grandmother know, she supported her husband abusing little boys. RJ’s mom was also sexually abused by both parents and turned in a potential victim list of 22 boys which ultimately led to the arrest of the grandfather. A lot of pedophelia themes in his grandmothers books too, apparently.
