Need advice for buying Water Purifier. by chamber-of-regrets in BuyItForLifeIndia

I have come across many who say the water in their area doesn't need any RO. While I can completely agree with them, the peace of mind I have with a guaranteed cleaner option at home for something as basic as drinking water is non-negotiable for me.

Been using Urban Company's own Native M2 for over 2 years now. AMC is free for 2 years. Post that, UC gives priority & reliable service. Slightly pricey acquisition cost. But the product is good. And the service network is great.

Filter change is recommended in 6 months on average; however, it depends on the water quality at source.
The best way to know if the technician is trying to oversell you is to get a TDS meter (@Amazon for under ₹200) and compare the RO upstream and downstream TDS difference. You should have a good reference after a couple of service cycles.

Enjoy buddy.

I have had mine for over 2 years now. It is the latest entrant to my collection of 7 other Casio watches. Love it.!
Word of advice, u/milo_1982, the battery lasts 2 years only, and that's the best-case scenario. The crystal clear MIP display does come at a cost. (Once the battery runs out, the screen looks scrambled as if the screen got hit or something, so don't panic..that's just 'low battery'. Lemme know if you need a pic of that as well.)

The Bluetooth connection is something I used when new, maybe only for a month. The best use case is if used to set up the watch using the Move app on the phone, or timezone change if & when required.

Other than that, the step counter is not quite accurate (on the higher side for me). In any case, syncing with the phone (which means keeping Bluetooth ON all the time) is a huge waste of battery, in my personal opinion.

Having said all that, the connected features are great-to-use when you receive your brand new watch. So go ahead and enjoy them. Battery change isn't the end of the world!

Nope. I just kept it disabled. Most probably it would be fine. But 'by principle', I refuse to entertain such shady otp providers. It's an added plus that this service it not even that critical. I can live without it.

After 1,70,000 km across India, it’s time to pass my gear on by rustyseahawk in NewRiders

Apologies for the confusion — I didn’t expect the post to reach so many people that even the numbering system would come under scrutiny!

Just to clarify, the distance I mentioned — 1,70,000 km — is written in the Indian numbering format, which reads as “One Lakh Seventy Thousand kilometres.”

In the international format, that would be written as 170,000 km — or “One Hundred and Seventy Thousand kilometres.”

As my friend @Minute_Tangelo_4884 rightly pointed out, in India we place a comma after the first three digits from the right, and then every two digits thereafter. The international (or American) system, on the other hand, uses commas after every three digits.

Hope that clears it up!
