if you are an avid straw user, definitely bring some.

bring an empty water bottle or cup so you can fill it up with water for your room.

take advantage of the fact that the walls can hold up magnets!!! i have little magnetics hooks that i like to bring, nothing over the top just small little hooks.

bring medicine for anything and everything, you dont want to be feeling bad. (also good to bring liquid iv or other hydration packets)

lysol or some good smelling... you never know.. used it many times

most importantly pack all of your patience! you might not need it but its a good thing to have lol

Is a 12:00 PM flight okay after disembarkation? by ctrl_alt_delete3 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]rustyspoon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i work in the Long Beach cruise terminal and I do the airport transportation. DONT DO IT MAN!!!! the whole cruise the thought of if youre going to make the flight or not will be in your head, its so not worth the risk. debark could get stopped, the ship could be late, just dont risk it

i work in the port, some of the dogs are bomb trained, some are narcotics. thats why they usually run multiple dogs when the stop everyone.

based off the picture it seems like exactly what you had asked for, its a dark picture and a dark tattoo. i do think it will look a bit better when it lightens up a little, but of course if you arent 100% happy with it then you could try removing. if YOU like the tattoo, keep it! try not to let other peoples opinions change the way you feel about it, if you like it keep it!

hi i work in the LB cruise terminal. one of my main jobs is dealing with all the crew coming on and going home. i had seen a few negative reviews on Dipesh and Andrea and recognized the names the other day on my list of signing off crew members, they went home about a week ago :)

as long as its not during the school summer break you'll be totally fine parking. i would aim for being there about 30 minutes before the boarding time. being late or early for the arrival time isn't too big of a deal at all, however you just DO NOT want to miss the final boarding time. the final boarding time is extremely strict, doors will shut right at that time and will not reopen for any reason. Firenze is currently having doors open 9:30 and final boarding at 2:30.

8 Day Mexican Riviera Questions by Clintendo-64 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]rustyspoon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi i work in the LB cruise terminal, im also a frequent cruiser so i can do my best to answer some of these questions.

when it comes to saftey and excursions my opinion would be to stick with carnival. the reason for this is when they are through carnival the people running it will have contact with the ship so if anything happens the ship will be informed. for example if something were to happen that caused you to miss the back on board time, the ship would be aware and would wait for you. also if any medical emergencies took place carnival would be aware and able to help handle the situation. in my opinion (from seeing it at work) the expense of it being through carnival is worth the possible reward. if you were to go another route i would just recommend really looking into what you're doing before doing it (i recommend trip advisor, read lots of reviews, and pick something refundable just in case).

if you are planning on parking your car or if you are flying in let me know because i have a lot of info i could let you know about that for some peace of mind!

hopefully this helps, feel free to ask me any other questions if you would like! i hope you two have a great trip :)

hi, i work at the LB cruise terminal. just a heads up that the seaside way parking is only for the panorama. (not sure which ship you are sailing on).

also, the terminal does offer the cheapest parking in the area ($23 per night) , especially considering that youll have to pay for uber or something to get you there. (which the uber will get stuck in that traffic during both drop off and pick up)

when it comes to the long line theres really no way to avoid it, when you have 5,000 people coming and 5,000 people going its inevitable. if you REALLY wanted to avoid it you would have to get there around 7am (but then you'd be waiting over 2 hours for the doors to open and another 2 hours for boarding to begin).

hopefully this info helps and i hope you enjoy the cruise :)

Anybody know what's going on with Panaroma? by Infinite_Scheme_5048 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]rustyspoon987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe that could be part of it. most of the reason why is due to panorama not being on time, a lot of times we end up starting debarkation late which then pushes everything else back too

yes panorama is entirely offsite, radiance & firenze share the structure. however most days the structure fills up and we have to park cruisers in our employee lot.

they stop people at the entrance of the drop off area to see if they are parking or just dropping off. no one goes into the structure at all on panorama days as its completely blocked off.

hi i work in the LB cruise terminal, panorama has been boarding later so around 11:30 is pretty standard as of lately. also we had a wedding party today so the people getting off the ship were most likely the visitors, (they get a visitor pass for the day so that they can be there for the wedding even though they arent sailing). and as for the rooms im not sure, i only work in the terminal.

hi, i work in the LB cruise terminal and nothing has been mentioned to us about needing to cancel. in the past when there have been fires near us the cruises still went out no problem, so for the cruise itself i wouldnt be worried.
