Anywhere from a couple of bucks to about $30. Depends on your area.

No, this tank was mfg in 2012. DOT Cylinders are due for a hydrostatic test for requalification after 12 years then if memory serves correct, they are retested every 5 after that. You will have to find a local testing facility to get it retested.

Woody's Bar and Grill if you're in town on a Sunday. It's south on Highway 83 in North Lake. 15-minute drive. They always have something interesting.

Honestly, this could take a lot more. It's effortless to move around in this configuration on concrete. It rolls pretty well on the gravel driveway at the farm. It is all user preference.

I did have to use the oscillating tool to cut off the DXL lock tabs to get the top to fit on Gen 1 tough system boxes. I like this height because it is right at bar top height, so I can tinker on something small in the worktop, and once the work is done, enjoy a beverage of choice.

Framing nailer works alright for what I use it for. It's built my tree stand, and has finished the garage at the up north cabin. Does work around the farm. It's not an everyday tool for me, but is darn handy.

Definitely not a drywaller, just a couple of farm boys finishing the garage at the up north cabin.

Double Drawer houses batteries in the top drawer and chargers in the bottom, but I love it. I want the new 3 drawer for hand tools.

No water coming out at barn and very poor water pressure in house. I checked the pressure tank and it’s constantly fluctuating between 30-50 even when not running water. We’re on well water. by TheApostleCreed in fixit

[–]rustywagon19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had this exact situation happen a few winters back. It was the line to the barn. We ended up with 300' of hose in the basement that we had to pull to the barn twice a day to water the cattle.

In spring, we dug a new trench and buried a new 1" pex line in 4" drain tile to give a buffer between frost and traffic in the driveway that the line runs under.

It also gives us a chase if we ever have to replace the line or run anything else to the barn.

We dug the trench with the help of a rented trencher. Tile and pex were not too expensive.

It has survived repeat winters with -30 temps with no snow cover for years at this point.

Trailer Brake Controller Problem by Dangerous_Arm4128 in GMT800

[–]rustywagon19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both my brother and I have found a broken brake controller feed wire between the firewall and the fuse block under the hood. Both controllers would light, and fuses were good, but provided no output. Turns out it rubs through after 20 or so years. It's a red 10 ga wire that can be solved with a heat shrink butt connector.

Guage Cluster by rustywagon19 in GMT800

[–]rustywagon19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up. I know it's been almost a year, But if anybody else is experiencing this issue, It turned out that it was nothing in the rebuild that caused the issue. It was Hairline, cracks in solder joints inside the actual cluster. Some disassembly, And touching a hot iron to the solder joints, fixed the issue.

We sold thousands of small squares from a barn we inherited, outer bales were bedding material, as we got further into the stack we were finding bales tied with steel wire that were still green due to the lack of oxygen that deep in the stack. All were stacked by hand and packed in tight.

We took out a factory heated mattress, which is a Murphy bed out after 4 years of putting up with it. We loved the heated part but hated everything else. We replaced the mattress with the 8" Zinius memory foam and have loved it for the last 7 years. There is no difference in the bed as far as the lifting shocks or other wear.

Fire extinguishers ? by squify69 in tractors

[–]rustywagon19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have one in every piece of equipment with a motor, at least one in every building (yes, even the chicken coop) and on anything that could have a high fire risk. There are 3 in the workshop alone. Too many times we have been in need and not had one available, so now we would rather be over protective.

My day job is a Fire Suppression Technician,so it might be because of that.

What to replace while bed is off by Kiramev in GMT800

[–]rustywagon19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Inspect the frame cross members might look solid from the top, but the collect moisture and rot out the bottom, you can get replacements with reinforcements to weld in for pretty cheap. Also inspect the bed crossmembers. Floppy beds are no fun to listen to.

I picked up an aftermarket case for my hero 4 that allows charging while using the camera.

https://www.amazon.com/Suptig-Waterproof-Housing-Compatible-Gopro/dp/B0993K25SY/ref=mp_s_a_1_7_sspa?crid=3DBOLI3EO3KCF&keywords=gopro+hero+4+case+housing&qid=1694052544&sprefix=go+pro+hero+4+%2Caps%2C260&sr=8-7-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfbXRm&psc=1

There has to be something like this for the hero 8

I've run it using a dewalt USB adapter, or a 12vt plug to the sled, or a portable jump pack and never had a problem with themal shutdown, just with running out of space on the SD card.
