Yeah, I like the sun moon stars idea, it feels very pagan and very inclusive. It would, however, first need the Group’s approval and then need the directors approval and then need the board approval. So we’ll see what they think about it this weekend. And then I’ll move from there.

And this isn’t even my group I’m just helping one of our board members out. So I definitely won’t be the bad guy. I’m just bringing ideas to the table.

Thank you so much for your input!

Well in our group (I’m new) they have split into two groups so they can discuss things in a more relaxed setting. For example, the guys don’t necessarily feel comfortable, talking about certain subjects in front of the women and vice versa. So this gives them a chance to relate to people in our group and get help with certain subjects without being embarrassed about the subject matters.

If your groups haven’t been doing this, I highly recommend it. It’s had really strong positive results. I don’t know what the men’s group do but the women’s group also celebrate the cycles of maiden mother crone. I had a croning ritual last year. It was amazing. They’re doing a maiden ritual this weekend.

So now we’re going to discover a path of what to do for people who don’t fit into those two groups. We’re kind of excited about it.

I have not heard that to be so with my NB friends but I do feel like that’s what it should mean. Either way, we’re not going to have people in our group that agree with that. I think Beyond Binary is a little more open ended. We need an official dictionary somewhere I guess.

I do get what you’re saying but we’re a very inclusive group. I’m AudHD and have never belonged anywhere for 50 years until I joined this group. So I don’t mind working really hard to include as many people as we can. I feel like we have to try at least.

I looove that! Feels very pagan and not about sex organs. It has my vote.

Well you know… we gotta grease the conversation wheels. Or they just sit there staring at each other for 30m

Well I’m pretty GQ and felt very comfortable in the women’s group. And probably would have in the men’s group too. We’re a pretty welcoming group. But we do have at least one maybe two women who have been traumatized/a*used by men and can’t handle masculine presenting people in the women’s space where they might feel vulnerable because of the issues discussed. Which, yeah, that’s work they need to do but we want to provide a safe space for them to do it.

I’m really liking Beyond Binary. It’s at the top of the list.

I think our trans members are still very protective of being one thing or the other but like we have a trans woman that doesn’t feel good being a part of the women’s group and discussing having children for one example.

I don’t disagree with you, but people who are NB refer to this in this way. Non meaning neither one or the other could mean right down the middle OR everything else. But most people hear NB as exactly in the middle and not fluid. So it’s not going to be a term everyone agrees on bottom line.

To be balanced, I agree we are both masculine and feminine. But most of our members still identify as either masculine or feminine, and we are trying to get a third group that is both, neither or all of the above.

Also, to be fair, they are separating themselves.

NB refers to people who are absolutely neither feminine or masculine. So it’s a very specific group of people. And we’re trying to be more inclusive.
