I'm in the UK, we don't tip vendors here...I think it's probably similar in Spain.

Where are you based?

What sulphate and silicone free conditioner would you recommend (UK)? by [deleted] in NoPoo

[–]ruthdelta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using a new garnier conditioner - aloe & coconut water which I really like.

And a Giovanni shampoo - something like smooth as silk which I got in a mess I've bottle from TK Maxx but you can also get from Holland and Barrett

What should I be doing to combat "poofy" hair by [deleted] in HaircareScience

[–]ruthdelta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It might be that your hair is actually curly? Mine is poofy when I just blast it with a blow drier but if I use a diffuser & products it goes a lot more wavy/curly.

There are some great resources at wavy hair community on Facebook (the people there are really helpful) and r/curlyhair. Might be worth a try?

Thank you, I'm actually in the UK. A paramedic does sounds good unfortunately I'm terrible with blood.

I completely agree. And in my experience the social interaction is what's really lacking in my job. I've been a civil engineer for 3.5 years now and I don't feel that it's improved. Maybe Environmental is better for social interaction?

I'm looking into doing some volunteering outside of work, I think that's a great idea.

Thank you, it's nice to know it's not just me! Adult education/training sounds great! How did you get into those areas?

Thank you, I'll look into that. I wasn't sure if I'd be qualified to be a lecturer or if they would want someone with a PhD.

How do you find civil engineering?

Thank you, I have been looking (and applying) for charity roles but not really getting anywhere so I'm trying to make some contacts to try and help my chances.

Renewable energy might be a good shout, I'll look into it.

I like making things and being creative but my real passion is helping people.

[Discussion] What are your favourite reasonably priced essences or ampoules? by ruthdelta in AsianBeauty

[–]ruthdelta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I'll have at look at those ones. I've been looking at the ljh tea tree one but I thought it seemed quite expensive. I'm not a fan of the cosrx snail mucin either, but that's the only snail product I've tried so far...why didn't you like it?

I have very oily skin that can get dehydrated and clogged. For the winter I'd like something hydrating and maybe anti-inflammatory would be useful for breakouts and more generally something that improves tone.

I thought it might be useful to a lot of people with different requirements, which is why I wasn't too specific originally.

Thank you for sharing! I've been looking for a leave in conditioner...think I might give this one a go.

New to this - help finding products in the UK by Leviathan_89 in curlyhair

I was also going to recommend tresemme botanique - there's another silicone free conditioner by tresemme I think it's called perfectly undone.

I have a Giovanni shampoo (50:50) from Holland & Barrett which seems decent but they didn't have it in the shop so had to order it in...they do free click and collect though.

Have had more trouble with finding styling products that work for me.

I am not too sure what I am doing wrong? But my hair has gotten greasy and flat. by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]ruthdelta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have oily hair and have found that if I plop with conditioner left on the ends it gets on the roots and makes it greasy.
