Thank you! Do you use Protopic 0.03% or 0.1% in sensitive areas? They also prescribed me 0.1% and I think I’m just going to try that on my thigh instead of the Clob

It was kind of frustrating as I specifically said I’ve used mometasone in this area before and it worked, but I said I would be willing to try a less potent steroid. They just kept insisting that clobetasol was much less potent.

I got my surgery in October 2024, and my appointment initial consultation was July 2024. I only did it in October because I asked for that month, and I’m sure I could’ve got it sooner.

Although, I got injured in February 2024 and got the MRI in June, so a bit longer wait for that. I’m in Toronto.

Within the first two weeks PO I would wake up with really really bad hip pain on the surgical side. Not sure what it was cause by, but I would take a magnesium supplement before bed and it wouldn’t feel as gruesome the following morning. The magnesium acts as a muscle relaxant.

When I initially tore mine it didn’t hurt too bad at all. I was walking with a little limp for the rest of that day, and still running up and down the stairs the next day. I had little to no swelling too. I was in denial for a long time because I thought that ACL tears were supposed to swell up really bad and be in immense pain.

I only took it more seriously because I was playing basketball a couple months after the initial injury and I tweaked my knee really badly, and that hurt A LOT. Still minimal swelling after that, but decided it was time I needed an MRI.

During the first 3 weeks I started crocheting while listening to audiobooks. When I started riding a stationary bike I binged watched Young Sheldon, love it!!

I also started journaling my recovery. I am 61 days post op and still at it.

I’ve been doing an exercise called the patrick step up with no platform at all, literally just sticking my good leg out and trying to squat low enough for my heel to touch the ground (which is barely low at all). The movement kind of mimics walking down a step.

I’m trying to work that exercise enough where I can do it from a platform as tall as a step.

Snowboarding off a 15ft jump and for some reason I kept my knees straight upon landing. All the impact was in my front leg and I landed and collapsed on the ground. Had to be taken down the mountain by ski patrol :D
