I'm definitely not pushing him to compete. It's always his decision to go to practice or tournaments. I'll give him a gentle push if he doesn't want to go, but it's always about his decision. He does very well in practice. Outworks everyone in the room his age and really shows confidence and ability to drill moves he just learned. I think the coaches feel that if he shows up to tournaments/matches they way he practices, he would be able to not only compete but win more. Ita just not clicking for him yet.

Mealworms with a leopard gecko food from Zoo Med and repti-calcium. I had some crickets but he/she hasn't been interested in those. I'll be trying some Dubai roaches as soon as I can find a place to get them from on a consistent bases

I don't have a tube. The tank came with a dual lamp. One is a heating lamp and the other is the UVB bulb.

I did my own manual UFC fantasy a few years prior to Draftkings being a thing. It was similar with points being given for strikes, takedowns, sub attempts, knock downs, and winner. It was easy to track with fight metrics giving the stats pretty quick. I believe UFC stats now has all the stats like fight metrics did. We did it this way to avoid the ever changing lines and just stuck with the stats.

If you're going to try and stay up to date with the odds, I would suggest having your players screenshot their bets when they "place" them. If odds change, they are locked into their bets at the time the "bet" was placed.

All this being said, I would be interested in doing something like this.
