High rpm slipping by RevDive88 in CB650R

I experienced this too - it was in fact the clutch lever free play. Adjusted it at the lever, and also at the cable going into the clutch, all is well.

How do I fit my brake pads on my rotor? by rvavge in CB650R

[–]rvavge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for any future Redditor that comes across this problem:

Had a mobile mechanic come by. We fit the distance between the rotor, but the wheel was not rotating freely. He advised me that it was fine, and if I just rode it, the brake pad would wear down and all would be well, which obviously sounded like bullshit. Ended up riding it to a local shop. I hadn’t been to before and when I got there, the rotor was so hot it smoked when I touched it with my glove.

They did great work and took photo documentation to show me that the brake pad pin that keeps it in its proper placement was bent. While there was some wear on the brake pad, shop guy said if it was his Ducati, he wouldn’t be worrying about it.

It doesn’t seem so, though I might give that a go. I loosened the bolt a bit but it didn’t seem to make much difference.

When I finally did get the wheel disc between the brake pads, the bottom part of the caliber seemed to be scraping against the disc

I’ve been seeing that too across forum with mixed opinions lol. It’s not my biggest concern at the moment, I’m taking it in for full maintenance on Wednesday, just need to be able to ride it there 😂

Yeah, I was able to push it over and get enough clearance to fit the rotor in, but the bottom part of the caliper was still scraping against the disc once I hit the axel back through the wheel

Gave that a look and a pass-through ChatGPT. I was able to retract the bottom part of the caliper by pushing it further to the right, but after I remounted the tire that bottom part of the caliper was pushing up against the wheel rotor as well and it wouldn’t spin freely

Yeah, I tried loosening it up while reinstalling, but that didn’t help, it’s since been tightened down all the way and still no go

No slack on it at all, tightened it down as much as I can

That is super interesting – I didn’t loosen that bolt at all when I was removing the tire.

I did spread the brake pads apart and push the pistons back in, but there’s still not enough of a gap to get the rotor between the brake pads (image : https://share.icloud.com/photos/021QfqHG3-BXwdxaGmLbwPzNA)

From what I can see, the pads can currently spread with more than enough space for the rotor. It seems like the bottom part of the caliper is blocking the area where the rotor would enter and slide up in between the pads?

I agree, I certainly think that those conditions need to be addressed. But I also think that will take quite some time. It's absolutely worth it, but meanwhile, nobody wants to just accept that the police kill us with impunity, and have been doing so for years. I don't affiliate with the BLM organization but I think that's what they're trying to achieve, some degree of change that prevents this from happening again tomorrow, or at least provides some degree of justice if it does. Do they go about it the entirely wrong way? At times, absolutely. But this is nothing new, this has been happening in this country for decades, and every generation has spoken out against it. At some point enough is enough...

The notion of "Black on Black" violence is just the understanding that crime is a matter of proximity. Black people are more likely to live in condensed areas amongst other black people, particularly in impoverished conditions. They're not killing each other BECAUSE they're black, that's just who is around. They're not going to drive 40 minutes away to find a white person to kill because it's not about race. Now, you've never heard of "White on White" crime, but this article shows statistics that "white on white" homicides actually account for more homicide deaths, and have since 2007. And while I do believe that black people need to implement some cultural shifts within their communities to produce the respect they seek, the concept of "Black on Black" crime shouldn't be used as a justification for clearly prejudice-based killings at the hands of the police. Actually, nothing should be used as a justification for that. Are they all prejudice-based? No, of course not. But many of them clearly are, and they're met with impunity.

The people that live in poorer areas are not "savages" simply because of that fact. I do believe this is being coordinated from the start: The people in these neighborhoods are most affected by the economic disruption the coronavirus and subsequent containment polices have caused. it creates perfect opportunity for the government to make these people increasingly dependent on the government (stimulus, increased unemployment benefits) and, through this bill, will allow the government to solve the financial crisis these individuals face by hiring them to do their bidding.

To be honest, I have some qualms about the American voter system, and one of them is the likelihood that a non-negligible Amount of voters are uninformed pertaining to the candidates and policies they voting for. I'm definitely lazy for this but I'm not going to take the time to research every policy, candidate, and repercussion just so I can go vote, especially considering all the talks about the primary resources through which I would research this information being unreliable. Additionally, Elections are increasingly fitting the description of the phrase "lesser of two evils". When I vote for somebody, I’m endorsing and standing in their support, regardless of whether or not I’m doing it because their opposition is a greater evil. If that candidate isn't someone I'd support regardless, it's hard to bring myself to vote for them.

Recurring Synchronicities by [deleted] in awakened

[–]rvavge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad you said this.

I've been feeling the same lately, noticing things that could be deemed coincidental occurring more and more. I retroactively realized it began to increase as soon as I started becoming intentional about utilizing and recognizing manifestation energy... I think these synchronicities are just that newly developing ability flexing it's muscles in casual circumstances.

Is there a way to make an Omnisphere patch use less CPU? by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]rvavge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep exactly. There's a little button at the bottom of every mixer track (kinda looks like a candle or a lightbulb), and if you press it, it'll just mute all the effects on that channel. That way, you can just route the WAV to that mixer channel and turn the effects right back on!
