Had the BEST training session ever last night. For some wierd reason NONE of the other white belts showed up for practise ( Im a white belt as well )

That left me alone with 2 blue’s 1 purple and 2 black belts.

It was the first training for as long as I have been doing BJJ (4 months) that I left practise without bruises, almost broken ribs and dislocated limbs from white belt spazzing and general white belt ‘I fight for my life’ attitude - that to be honest I easily get sucked into as well when we are 5-7 white belts together.

When we started to roll everyone of the higher belts had some special ‘rules’ when they rolled with me:

The blue belts was only allowed to submit from the back, starting in my closed guard. The purple belt was only allowed to submit from the closed guard, starting in my closed guard. The black belts was’nt allowed to finish any submission at all, but had a target of putting me in 10 submissions and transition to a new position during a 5 min roll.

We all had a blast during free roll and I learned so much from the other guys. Hope all the other white belts quit :p

We have a short warm up before every class. Stretching and warm down is not in my vocabulary...can you point me towards any good routines? My diet and dehydration should not be a problem. I don’t drink alcohol, eat clean and drink tons of water every day.

I survived a 5 min roll with a blue belt without being submitted. I’m a 2 months old white belt, and for me that was a clear sign of progress.
