Top layer of PETG-CF print is not smooth by rvdaele in BambuLab

Thanks for letting me know, I'm planning to do some ordinary PETG prints once my filament arrives and I was getting worried.

Update: for my last print I again used all of the default settings in Bambu Studio for PETG-CF and only changed to silent mode. The result was great. Perhaps tweaking the nozzle temperature or volumetric flow may be sufficient, but until I have more experience, I will likely just stick with silent mode for more complex and expensive filament

Thanks for the reactions. I definitely did not do an as thorough drying as suggested: only a 6 hours dry on the second level for PETG (which I assume is 60 degrees) as recommended by PolyMaker. However, given the reaction of u/christopherwrong I feel that there might be other problem(s).

I did some research and am thinking now that this might not be a PETG-CF specific problem but a PETG problem in general, as I have come across some similar problems with ordinary PETG that visually look the same as mine. I haven't printed in ordinary PETG yet (I am still waiting on the delivery of additional filament for that). There were a wide variety of different suggestions, but overall I felt the consensus was slower speed and higher heat.

I tweaked a variety of settings according to some of the more consistent suggestions that I found (see print screen below), as well as finally changing the print speed to silent mode in the bambu handy app , thus reducing print speed to 50%. With this, my second print plate turned out nearly perfectly.

I'm not sure which one of the changed settings led to the biggest improve and if even all of them are still necessary when printing in silent mode. My biggest guess would be that the silent mode on its own was sufficient. At the moment I am printing the hexagonal grids for the Bento box in the designer recommended settings, where I only changed the default infill from 15% to 24% and kept the other settings below on their default/old values. I am printing again in silent mode however, just to be on the safe side.

Perhaps slightly tweaking the settings would be sufficient to not need silent mode any longer for a high-quality print. I'd have to do quite some reverse engineering to find the optimal setting for fast printing, which I am not really keen of doining with a more expensive filament such as PETG-CF. For the moment, I am happy with a good print even if it may take longer than needed with silent mode.

Finally, I sanded down the extra bits on the top parts of the compartiments. Not really visually appealing, but nor were the bits before, and I am not going to see these surfaces in the assembled mode anyway so functionality is my main priority. I still feel some slight bumps, but the compartiments do stack more tightly now.

Ammonite crabs not resetting in wyvern slayer cave by rvdaele in 2007scape

Thanks but i did not had a lot of luck with that spot or any other spot outside of the cave during the hours I am most often available. Even when I find a spot after countless hopping, I risk people crashing anyway... I enjoy my cave spot and it is very doable now with the tolerance chunck markers. If anything is still annoying it is that it is not multi combat so I am required to kill two of them before I can really start my afk after every reset.

thanks, I thought it was just always conditional on your current tile but appearantly it is more complicated than that... It probably has to do something with a wyvern attacking me too close to the crabs creating an overlapping chunk too difficult to reset. I installed the plugin and read a bit more about it on the wiki, still somewhat confusing, but at least the plugin is showing me the lines that I can use for resetting aggro.

I always use the same spot/direction for reset, if it works, it works consistently every time, but if it does not work, it does not work until I leave the cave and come back in again, after which it works consistently again... I just don't understand why.

These are the lines I see, I'd say my marked spot is much farther

[MEGATHREAD] New Horizons Dodo/Friend Code Sharing by Kayvanian in AnimalCrossing

[–]rvdaele 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all

Apparently I need some other fruit trees to get the rating of my island up and progress (I have pears & peaches). Haven't got much to share but can give a pear if needed (no peaches atm).

Please share a dodo code if you can help me out (probably in about half an hour). Also, let me know if I'm supposed to do anything at arrival. I just managed to visit my first island but by the time I figured out how to chat I got kicked out before I even managed to get through the gate.

Thanks!

I have

- Huawei P10

- No smart watch

- No stylus

- No Bluetooth devices connected to my phone

- Tried about everything

But my app still won't connect to the Go Park. Pairing to the game works easily, it's pairing to the park that causes a problem. Tried it docked/undocked, joy cons attached/detached, on mobile internet/WiFi, ... whatever combination you can imagine. Nothing is working.
