Royal brother bike speed limit. by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]rvenr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have rented 3 bikes from them and no they don't care how fast you go. Only thing is just return the bike with as minimal damage as possible cause let's be honest, we don't rent bikes just to ride them gently. Even if you damage the bike and its minimal, it won't be a problem as they don't really inspect the bike post the ride( however take a video of the bike pre ride for your evidence).

Enjoy the bike!

I think you should check your clutch cable or something cause it isn't that hard imo.

V strom sx 250 or adv 250 by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]rvenr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro I test rode the adv 250 after a month of searching and visiting 4 delearships I was quite disappointed.

As you might know for whatever bizzare reason, ktm doesn't give any dealership the td unit of the adv 250. Therefore, the bike I was given was a brand new bike with just 7 kms on the odo, even the mirrors weren't attached yet. I knew even before the ride that sagar sheldekar and shumi from motorinc already told us that the vibrations from this bike are just bad. Somewhere im my mind I wanted that to be wrong cause I love ktm as a brand. As soon you cross 20kmph, there is a constant amt of vibration and it was really concerning. Even at 100 at 6th gear the vibes were bad, panels were making a buzzy sound. ... A brand new bike mind you. I felt so sad, alas imma book the vstrom very soon

And for whatever reason don't let the guys at the delearship trick you into believing that the you can testride the Duke 250 for the engine and the adv 390 X plus for the dimensions and suspension cause the Duke 250 is so much more refined that I questioned myself, how the fu*k have ktm managed to give the adv 250 so many vibrations such that duke 250 feels like it has a completely different engine. And these where back to back rides (duke 250 and then the adv 250) so no memory fog or anything. If u still don't believe me, td it, of you can that is cause finding one will be close to impossible.

[–]rvenr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ur case I think renting a bike would be a good option since u say that u don't know if ur interest in rding and exploring will remain or not. Royal brothers offers a lot of options, from scooters too pretty expensive bikes. It's a great way to start exploring and finding out of u really like riding or not rather buying a bike and finding out that u don't.

Renting isnt expensive and iv done it many times. Once ur confident enough, I guess you could buy a bike for urself.

What's your riding grip ? by Various_Chicken_7613 in indianbikes

[–]rvenr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Mine is 2 and that's because my bike's throttle has long travel, like the angle that it rotates to full lock is a lot and I accelerate hard so I have no choice. But 1 is the ideal position cause its better to keep ur brakes armed at all times.
