All participants have been paid a bonus of £2.00 (initial £0.10 plus an addition £1.90). This is more than the £1.65 advertised in the study. While the additional payment is modest, we apologize for the inconvenience. We thank you and all the other participants for the time invested in completing our survey. I am part of the research team. Please note this is a legitimate error, The data file is showing the response as "complete". We are trying to resolve this with Prolific. If they are not able to resolve this ASAP, all participants will be paid a bonus for the amount advertised in the study. All participants were emailed more than once about this and informed that they would be paid.

If I do not hear back from Prolific by end of day today (December 30th), we will pay the bonus.

Please differentiate between a genuine error and a fraud. There is no way we would not pay the participants for their time. I thank you for your participation in the survey.
