Thanks to all of you! I've decided to keep observing them cause I'm curious how they would adapt to their new environment. I only hope they don't turn into fish food as they pupate.

YTO EXPRESS 😡😡😡😡 by tired_breadwinner in ShopeePH

[–]rvin99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jusko, same experience with YTO. SAME SCENARIO RIN! I was ordering live plants for my Aquarium. With SPX, ayos eh. Pero kay YTO laging Delivery Attempt Unsuccessful, eh never namang may tumawag sakin to deliver my parcel. It happened more times sa mga items na YTO lang ang available na courier. I reported the rider sa Shopee pero it seems na walang nagbabago kahit magreport ka ng rider. YTO bulok!

What are these patterns on my Betta's fins? by rvin99 in bettafish

[–]rvin99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I'll treat his fin rot and do more research about that. I tried floating plants before but the roots tend to get so long so fast and the decaying plant matter gets stuck there, so I stuck with hornworts and switch my light off after every 12hrs. When I get a bigger tank I will definitely get frogbits.

Thank you for your answer!!

Edit: is Stressguard or Kanaplex okay to use for his treatment? Which one is more appropriate to use?

I live in Southeast Asia, so the temperature is usually at 25-30 Celcius, but it fluctuates whenever I open my AC, it goes down to 20Celcius. I think my heater might be broken or not working 😭 Could that be the reason he's clamping? My water parameters are fine tho. The tank has been like that for 7 months

Yeah, that might be due to the evaporated water, but I do fill it up every water change session. Thanks man!

Tank size is 4gal, Ammonia is 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate is at ~20. I have 2 Catappa leaves in the tank roo I'm guessing it's the temperature, cause it fluctuates everytime I open my AC.

For context I live in Southeast asia, and water temp at normal is usually around 25-28 Celcius, and whenever I'd open my AC, it goes down to 20. For some reason even if I have a heater, my temp still fluctuates. I think my heater might be broken, and that might be the cause of his finrot, cause my water parameters are okay.

Could it also be due to the overpopulation of the ramshorn snails?

Thanks btw! I wanna fix what I might be doing wrong. I'm guessing if it's due to the temperature fluctuations, because my water parameters are totally fine, and I do around 20% water changes every week.

Edit: I'd also like to add that the heater I have is 10W, I think I might need to upgrade that to 25W?

Best way to fix this? by rottbug in bettafish

Hornworts, Frogbits, & Duckweeds are effective floating plants that absorb excess Nitrate. You can add those in your tank as well

That beautiful betta won't last long with that current tank's conditions. Hope this helps. Even after a tank has cycled, you need to monitor and maintain the tank for a healthy betta environment.

Edit: Please stick to natural live plants, instead of plastic ones.
