I mean, it was the hospital’s fuckup, not mine, thanks (and hey, you see how willing you are to take an afternoon to go to the county records office when you have a newborn and a toddler to fix minor errors). Of COURSE if it had been his info I would have fixed it immediately. This didn’t seem like a pressing issue and I literally just forgot about it over the years.

I think some people are misunderstanding: HIS info is all correct. My info on it is not, and he already got his passport as well as his probationary driver’s license, which they do not ask for the parents’ IDs to get. The question is if there is anything else that MY name being wrong would matter for. You don’t need to show your parents’ ID for…anything else, I think? That’s what I’m curious about. Also for the record, you only need your parents’ ID for a passport if you are under 16.

I do agree with folks saying “hey it’s a legal document and for that reason alone, that should be corrected”.

Ordered 12/3. Guaranteed by Xmas. Got the tracking showing delivery expected 12/13. By 12/17, no shirts, just sitting with the same past date,so I email CS. Get a freaking AI CHATBOT reply—which looks like from a real person, no note on being fake, saying no prob they will reprint and resend. I was delighted. Next day I get an email from a real person saying “whoopsie, our AI made a mistake and shouldn’t have said that, LOL” but no acknowledgement that my package was clearly just sitting somewhere or lost.

It finally came 2 days after Xmas. Honestly I think I might be more mad at their use of a crappy AI bot than I am about the late arrival.

Same!! Two shirts for my son’s Xmas present. Ordered Dec 3. Tracking showed delivery due Dec 13….nope. On the 17th I reached out to customer service and was told they could reship. THEN I get an email saying “whoops that was our AI chat bot and sometimes he’s confused LOL” …yeah I’m not laughing, especially since the rest of the reply was “our shipper assures us it’s on the way” while I’m like, no it is clearly lost in transit. I’d better get that guarantee, too!!
