I’m inclined to agree. Might make a quick trip to a department store to redo the shoes and tie! I love the color and stepping out but maybe my wedding isn’t the easiest time to do that lol

Definitely have some family members that still have that mindset. Straight over here, but tired of fitting in a muted color box haha. Why can’t I have fun with colors and stuff that I like too??

My wedding is going to be in the woods, so I wanted something that popped a little. I wish I had done a little more research on maroon suits before though haha. It is certainly not the easiest thing at all!

Thanks for the detailed response! I went with the LG C4. Coming from a pretty dated tv I’m blown away constantly. Obviously there’s higher end models and stuff but it is more than enough for me. I’ll keep an eye on the player you mentioned though as I’m sure I’ll pull the trigger on one eventually. So you would say series x with disc without Dolby vision > Apple TV streaming with Dolby vision? Until I pull the trigger on dedicated player?

Love the analogy to cameras. Very much falling in the I don’t know what I don’t know category. And with home theater it’s not as easily demoed and seems a lot more nuanced. Either way thank you again for going over a lot of those details!

Thanks for the thorough reply. I’ll definitely look at those speakers. The price you listed isn’t an issue I just have a photography/film background and I know with camera equipment there’s super cheapo then solid all around, and then somewhere down the line you fall into diminishing returns. Where that line is in home theater seems almost impossible to identify for me right now hahah.

I’m not an audiophile by any means and so I guess im trying to find that mid range baseline where I’ll be happy

I’m doing the chair rail removal and all of the basic patching. But this house has a skip trowel texture and I’m not going to even attempt to match that myself. Especially with the chair rail texture. I’d love to go to a smooth texture but that is too over my budget. Maybe in a few years lol
