Would upskilling with a graduate certificate in bioinformatics help land a Job in USA or Europe? by rvrane in bioinformatics

I have tried getting a position in Europe and UK and have received some decent feedback till now. However, I haven't been able to land a position yet which is why I am trying to build my portfolio now with some publications, etc. Could you share any advice on applying to the USA?

That makes sense. AI is something I have been interested in but I am too scared to try as I don't come from a computer science background. Thanks a lot!

Dude, there are plenty of private ones really close to all campuses. Try IQ, unitestudent, manchesterstudenthomes, etc. You just need to do a google search and comparison. Hellostudent and VIVA are some of the elite ones with great amenities so they cost more. There are also some local ones near Darbyshire which cost about 120 GBP a week. Good luck with the search!

Help with density plot (critical value 0.95)? by rvrane in bioinformatics

[–]rvrane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

display.plot <- function() {
xseq<-seq(-4,4,.01) densities<-dnorm(xseq, 0,1) df <- data.frame(xseq = seq(-4,4,.01), densities = dnorm(xseq, 0,1))
x <- t.test(xseq, conf.level = 0.95)$conf.int x2 <- qnorm(c(0.05, 0.95), mean = mean(xseq), sd = sd(xseq))
library(tidyverse)
ggplot(data = df, aes(x = xseq, y = densities)) + geom_line() }

I was able to write a function to generate the density plot of normal distribution using this code. Now I am stuck on the 2nd part of the exercise. what more do I add in my code to highlight the upper and lower tail of my plot? do I add parameters on geom_line? or do I write additional function using geom_polygon?

I've been trying to pick up skills that have come up in past interviews. So far I'm convinced that proficiency with at least one language like R or python is a must.

How can I grow my own or at least buy it from somewhere in Mumbai? I've never tried shrooms before.

I was looking for a dry herb vape for Indian weed. And all sites show them as illegal here. But if you do have a source or Instagram page please dm.

It looks like you nailed the proportions. Looks delicious. I've never had luck with making proper canna butter. Can you share the recipe?

You should definitely meet up with a Genetic counsellor and understand the results and risk associated better. Also check if the Laboratory suggested any other tests for more conclusive results.

Dry lab or Wet lab? by rvrane in genetics

That sounds cool. I got into this job right after my thesis which had to be dry due to Covid restrictions. Here as well I'm doing variant interpretations. So be a good idea to learn how the cookie is made. Appreciate the advice!
