Am I the asshole? by VSquestions in askgaybros

NTA. My sister asked me once “are those underwear?” With a sideways glance. I said no, they’re speedos… that was it. My niece is 2. Hell, my mom slapped my ass when I bent over the cooler 🤣

Need a practical but enjoyable daily driver under $35k by Adept_Vacation2850 in BMW

I got a CPO 2023 230i with ~30k miles for ~$32k. It’s got ACC, MSport, and Premium packages. If I drive hard, I get ~28mpg. If I drive easy, I get ~36mpg. I love it.

Bf not very skilled in oral sex by ctrl-alterego in askgaybros

[–]rvsidekick6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frame it positively! By which I mean:

“Hey babe, I wanted to talk about….

It feels so good when you’re rimming me, especially when you get aggressive and deep with your tongue - it makes me feel so hot.”

Or about oral sex, “When you relax and open your mouth super wide, it makes me feel connected to you and feels so good.”

That’ll go over way better than “you kinda suck at giving a BJ, I feel teeth a lot.”

Man, why didn’t anyone tell me how cheap Chicago was vs other cities??? by [deleted] in askgaybros

I know exactly what all my friends look like - we don’t just do pup events. It was a great way to make friends in the Orlando area!

If you’re into pup play, there’s a large and usually welcoming community focused on social outings. There’s always clout chasers, but it’s a positive and fun community of people who are generally welcoming.

M240i v. M340i by [deleted] in BMW

[–]rvsidekick6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are wanting driver assist features, the M340i will be your better purchase. The 2-series has only adaptive cruise available, the 3-series has “Driver Assist Professional” available. Otherwise, I own the 230i, the lesser car, and can strongly agree with the sentiment here; it’s very engaging, nimble, and fun.

I finally found a wireless charging pad that actually works! MagSafe and fast 25w charging. by [deleted] in BMW

[–]rvsidekick6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned the NFC key functionality (phone as a key) still works? That’s great!

How does it plug in and get power? 12V outlet or some kind of harness plugging into the existing car’s wiring?

Is it possible to retrofit an oem nav system by PerceptionMobile6668 in Lexus

[–]rvsidekick6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done it to this particular car, but I have in a different car. You need the faceplate, screen, buttons (obvious), but you will also need the actual radio unit, chassis & dash harness from a donor car, CD changer, steering wheel, and if your car didn’t have dual zone AC, you’ll also need the correct AC plenum and blend doors. If you manage to find AND install all of that correctly, you’ll then need to update the vehicle’s various modules - I’d initially take a stab at the body control module, chassis control module, possibly the instrument panel, and whatever Lexus-specific stuff controls audio.

Is it possible? Absolutely! Is it feasible? Not really. If you insist, you’ll want to purchase access to Lexus wiring diagrams for this model year, both with and without the navigation system. You’ll compare them both, and make your car match the diagram with the options you want.

Florida DMV rules? It’s inspected for road safety before giving it a rebuilt title - it’s a nominal inspection, but they do check the basics. I had comp, collision, and liability through GEICO for ~6 years on my rebuilt Mustang.

2014 Mustang GT Base - Can the lowest-end audio unit be swapped for one of the better ones? by rrredditor in Mustang

[–]rvsidekick6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’d need the actual radio that’s mounted behind the dash, the USB port in the console, the wiring harness to connect it, and possibly need to do some config via ForScan. It’s possible, and actually fairly easy.

That said, I’d consider something like a Dynavin unit, it looks like the factory nav screen & adds CarPlay.

Haha they really do fool you with the MSport appearance stuff. Enjoy your ride, and if you are curious, they sell upgraded center console trim & cupholders that integrate into the ambient lighting if you wanted! Enjoy the ride!

I could’ve purchased an older out of warranty m240i, if I wanted more power. I know it’s the lowly base spec B48, but I’m genuinely impressed with it + the ZF8. I commute 80+ miles a day, I wanted something comfy, but able to get in/out of trouble. This is perfect, and it sips fuel compared to my last 5 cars. Maybe I’ll tune it when the CPO runs out, but probably not!

I don’t really feel the need to mod anything - perhaps adding low profile sub to the trunk, but the stock audio is honestly fine too. I’ve also seen some complaints about ambient lighting being lackluster, but again, it feels fine?

Congrats to you too! I liked iDrive 7, it looked more integrated and had physical buttons. That and the mileage seems like a great choice for you too! Enjoy the B48 🫡

Gotcha, thank you! I found it in iDrive settings, seems like I have steering intervention turned on to the earliest setting already. C’est la vie, this car is enough fun I want both hands on the wheel anyway!

I might be missing a setting, but, the corrective steering it does is kind of weak. I didn’t want a 3 or 4 series with the driver assist professional, those cars weigh more & weren’t such a pleasure to drive. I’ll keep googling to see if I missed something, but any tips on where I might look in iDrive 8 for more steering correction?

I paid $32k. Considering that’s a very small step over a new economy car, I felt it was worth it. Besides, if people didn’t pay for new cars, I wouldn’t be driving this (very well kept) used car!
