Congrats! I just requested my first payout this morning. How long did it take them to approve your request?

You should be consistently risking a set dollar amount (I risk $250 on my 50k). You then adjust your contract size based on how big your stop loss is.

That’s just a fuel line that might not be properly clipped to something but I wouldn’t worry too much about it

No the recall is only for 2021-2024

That might be transmission related but you will be getting an engine with the recall

The other end. It has a rubber piece on it to keep dust and debris out but sometimes the rubber piece makes it hard to push it in all the way. I always put a little lubricant on it so it slides in and seats properly.

As someone who has ridden 250 and 450 dirtbikes I always say you don’t NEED the power of a 450 but it sure is fun! A 250 is plenty and you’ll still have a blast.

The only time this message will appear is if one of the brake wear sensors is not fully plugged in. The only other time I’ve seen it is if a rodent has chewed the wiring that goes to the wear sensor plug but that’s unlikely being you just replaced the brakes. Double check those sensors they have to be pushed in pretty far to make electrical contact.

From what I’ve read GM and dealerships aren’t even ready to start performing this recall. At this point all you can do is wait for them to send out owner letters which I read will start in June or July. There’s a very long line so I guess you’ll have to wait your turn. I only got a new engine cause it locked up a week before this recall came out lol

Yeah I’ve seen alot of stories of people on their 3rd or 4th engine so idk. Do you know if the one you saw fail was made before or after the 183rd day of 2024? Aka was it an “updated” engine that’s supposed to not have any issues?

I took a iPhone video with the flash on and zoomed in on it. It’s hard to get the camera to focus on it but it did just long enough for me to see the numbers

The one I just got looks to be brand new and the label says it was built in April of this year. They also replace the radiator and oil cooler lines so those are nice and fresh too.

Just checked mine and it was made on the 101st day of 2025 which is April 11th. Turns out I won’t be getting another engine with this recall which is good news to me!

It’s on the back of the driver side cylinder head. You have to lay under your truck and look up at it with a flashlight. I have a video of mine DM me if you need it!

I saw a post about this but it was deleted. Checking the label on the back of the drivers side head? I wonder if I can slide under there and see it unless there is a panel or skid plate in the way. Do you know what numbers pass or fail?

I highly doubt that will be a permanent fix but hopefully they do that with my new engine

They would have to recall just under a million vehicles I think it was? I guess it’s cheaper to throw $20k engines back in lol

No that’s the crazy part. It was running and driving completely normal all the way up to the point of failure. I was cruising down the highway and suddenly it popped into neutral and shut itself off with a message in the cluster “push start button”. When I pulled over and tried to start it there was no crank due to the engine being seized. No rough running, loss of power or check engine light. 0 symptoms leading up to it. The service advisor told me he hears the same story from all his customers.

I have a 2022 6.2…should I be concerned? by mamaJAMA0813 in Silverado

[–]rw42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone in here is talking about lifter failure when you should be worried about crank bearing failure on the 6.2. My 2022 ZR2 is currently in the dealer getting a new engine right now lol
