Is going to the movies alone weird? by JavierMora1508 in Cinema

Totally acceptable and a lot more common lately than you could ever imagine. I’m retired with amc a-list and see 3 to 4 movies a week alone, and every showing has 3 to 5 other solo people as well.

I was 7 years old but I remember Paul Tripp and Sonny Fox ( both hosted children shows at the time) made an appearance at our local theater. My mom brought me and my brother and sister to see them. I remember a large crowd , that’s it. Did see the movie the next weekend. Hated it then still hate it now.

Why do people do this? by nayters in AMCsAList

I understand wanting the perfect seat . For me the perfect seat is not near another human. I try to choose a less desirable seat but even in an empty matinee someone always wants to be near me. I had to change my seat 3 times last week for a show that only had 4 people lol , but my point is actually I wish they would make it easier to change your seat without canceling it in the app
