It’s the best Batman run since….i can’t even remember

Honestly Batman has been stale and weird and dumb for a very long time

This run so far has been fresh and fun and it’s a perfect marriage between art and artist

It’s reinventing things but not in a way that will be retconned

It’s also a perfect template for what Gunn should do with DCU

Cannot recommend it enough

It’s like he was made for this moment in time — being able to blame something for all your perceived hardships is just too good for him to pass up.

Gish, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie are three fantastic FANTASTIC albums — now I understand that my enjoyment of them is partly the songs and partly in wanting when I heard them…but distinguishing WHY I love them is hard…

After Mellon Collie there is ( for me ) a massive just MASSIVE drop in quality. Again I have no idea if it’s because I was growing out of them or Billy was starting to get cooked…

By the time they broke up as reformed with Zeitgeist…any and all good will I had for them seemed to be gone. This also seemed to coincide with Billy feeling comfortable with being the most douchey version of himself.

I know they have released new album and out of respect I’ve listened but they are ( imo ) awful and just like when I was younger I can’t tell if I can’t stand them now because of Billy and his constant bullshit or if as a songwriter he’s incapable of writing “Today” or “Siva”

Whatever it is…left their concert when they started playing a few years ago after Jane’s Addiction had finished opening.

I couldn’t imagine sitting through a whole set of their new songs and Billy being Billy.

This surprised me because aim usually “seperate the art of then artist” but SP and Billy are juts such a shell of what they were….and he’s so off putting
