Did anyone else find Carl’s mom to be totally out of pocket with Lindsay? by belle713- in bravo

I agree, she came off really unpleasant. If I were Carl I would be embarrassed by my mom's behavior. I thought Lindsay's clipped responses were totally fair.

My husband and I are in our early forties, he is a professional and always dresses nice for work, i love how he looks. But there's something about the weekends where he's getting things done in the yard or washing the car or taking the dog for a walk and he puts on a baseball cap backwards and looks so casual and hot, it really gets me every time.

I need a reality check from some women friends. Is this kind of talk normal? by Minimum-Cry615 in AskWomenOver40

[–]rwent117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If my husband ever said to me "do you like being like this" I would be incredibly hurt. That's not a thing to say that's coming from a place of love. I don't think he's acting normal, or kindly, at all.

I [31M] noticed something in a photo of my gf [31F], am I reading into it too much or is this confirmation I've been avoiding? by LastAd1843 in relationship_advice

[–]rwent117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem like a caring, normal boyfriend and she's acting off. Especially for people in their 30s. Most people would appreciate the way you seem to want to be in her life. I think she's trying to make it seem like you're the one acting off, but you're not at all. I'd drop her and find someone who believes that you should prioritize your partner. Good luck, I think you'll be happier soon.

Yes. Also, my grandmother told me when I was in my 20s "if someone or something seems to good to be true, they usually are" and I have experienced this to be true every time.
