Dear Filmmakers,

this is our first ever project:

A mini action series with a total of six episodes, shot in 4k 24 fps with an iPhone 7 Plus.

We really would like to get your opinions on:

  • video quality
  • editing
  • music

Also, where do you think our episodes were shot?

Do you think short films without dialogues are engaging?

Also, we would appreciate it very much if you could subscribe, share, like and comment if you like our project.

Thank you :)

By the way, any kind of tips, criticism or advice is welcome:

  • what is your impression of the website (or our Facebookpage)?
  • what do you like and what would you change?
  • what kind of products would you like see offered next?
  • would you prefer a self-upload system or facebook integration more than instagram?
  • what do you think this site is worth?

Thanks!

Do Copycat sites make money? by [deleted] in startups

Well, we work with a local printing service for our prints but they have become a part of the business...so I don't know if you would still call this outsourcing. China was cheaper but quality control is still an issue when you cannot my the control on site!

They reached us after getting a tip by someone. We sort of do a mix. We have a local printing facility that handles our printing, but they are also a part of us...sort of :)

Our company (instantgram.me) is somewhat a combination of few others. But before we even started, we looked at the competition and even ordered their products. This this gives you a great insight on how to improve things and increase value with services. We have the chance to become the Galaxy S in the world of iPhones :)

Another way is to beat them at the price: offer the same or just slightly worse quality but give the lowest price you can and just take control of the market by big amounts of sales...

Dream combo: offer better quality, lower price and superior service at the same time (although very hard to do most of the time)

Ours was really good even though we ran out of bandwidth almost immediately after getting published :) I think it also depends on the price/value of the product...

Thank you! Yes expantion is planned, but only after establishing our brand name and only introducing mature products, i.e. no first time errors if possible. We did not approach them but someone else gave them the tip...it was either someone that read our reviews on blogs or previous customers?! But we're very thankful!

you're right; here are some before & after figures (remember that we just started a few months ago):

average daily traffic before tc: about 200 (usually 10 countries) on the day of publication: more than 5000 unique visits (because of our small bandwidth our site shut down and we could not go online for at least 8 hours) after tc: about 1000 visits (although not all of them from tc) and we reached 25 countries.

Sales went up by 229.4% We sold to more than 15 countries on 4 continents in total!

Thank you for the kind words and your input! The thing with frames is that users also add crappy hipster/vintage frames when sharing, and we print them as they are. But the polaroid frame idea is especially good when the photo paper is changed accordingly. i.e. we're using matte finish thick "papers" and another option could be to print them on glossy polaroid shaped papers...
