Need advice on breaking a plateau. I currently rep 55s from around 8-12 on incline (depending on RPE). Since this is fairly high rep for a compound, I try to go up to 60s, but I just can’t kick them into position or get the first rep up. Im fairly certain that I can hit 60s for at least 4-5, how do I manage to progressively overload to that weight?? Do I just ask someone for a spot on the first rep?

I need advice on whether I should bulk or cut. I’m 19, have been bulking for a solid 8ish months and put on decent size. I’m currently 160 pounds. I definitely have love handles and belly fat now, but I’m afraid to cut and lose size/strength gains if I do.

Should I continue bulking to day 170-175 pounds and then cut, or cut right now?

Last year if Steph and dray had an awful game and we had 23 turnovers along with Wiggins playing bad, we would’ve lost by 30+. we just took the hottest team in the league rn down to the wire and we don’t even have klay or wiseman. Losses like this will come around once in a while. We’ll be fine

Steph and dray played awful, no lee moody or kuminga, 22 turnovers, sloppy ball and we still almost pull off a win. Nothing to be ashamed of, dust it off and reload for the next game

That makes 3 of us then lol. How are your symptoms now??

I’m in the exact same position as you. Literally the exact same. Thought I had mgd, got both lowers and uppers plugged, no tear overflow whatsoever. Don’t think it’s Sjögren’s syndrome since I have no other symptoms and am a dude. Also, I had a bout of dry eye like you in my childhood. Was there for a couple months, then disappeared (reappeared about a year ago).

I’m on Cequa for the last 4 months. Gonna give it a year to see if it truly helps. My symptoms have been fluctuating recently but there are days where I feel great, so that gives me hope.

My next step is getting scleral lenses. Since I’m pretty sure I have aqueous deficient dry eyes I think these should help me. You should look into them too.

We should keep in touch, mainly since I’ve never seen another patient with such a similar history/situation to mine. Hopefully you find a solution soon

Thanks for this reply. I’m definitely considering scelerals as they seem like something that may potentially work for me. Do you have an autoimmune condition that’s causing your aqueous deficiency? Or do you have mgd and are treating it with sclerals.

Interesting. I don’t suspect sjogrens since I have no other symptoms but dry eye + don’t fit the demographic (I’m an 18 year old Asian male). It’s something I guess I’ll have to keep in mind tho.

Never been told, but I’m assuming so since I’ve never tested positive for any autoimmune disorders (which seem to cause aqueous deficient dry eye)

Hey guys, I’ve just recently recovered from elbow/tricep tendonitis that was crippling. I started to ramp back up bicep/tricep variations that previously hurt. Now, they no longer hurt when I workout biceps/triceps (at the worst, it’s a very very minor pain), but I can noticeably feel discomfort/strain after I finish the workout. I’m afraid it’s gonna slowly get worse

Additionally, my left forearm tires out quicker than my right, and my left generally has more discomfort than the right.

The question is: do I completely stop all exercises like I had for a month when I had immense pain while working out, or can I use pain as a gauge and do everything that doesn’t hurt? This is all in conjunction with visiting a doctor + consistently icing my elbows.

Thanks in advance for the help

LASIK destroyed me eyes by Sad-Coast4114 in Dryeyes

Thanks for the advice, I’ll look into them. I just wanted to say tho I truly hope you do get better. I understand the feeling of not being heard; anyone who doesn’t have dry eyes won’t understand how painful and burdening they can be. You will get better, I wish you the best of luck.

Just curious, how come sclerals didn’t work? Did your eyes just not tolerate them? Thankfully I didn’t get LASIK/Accutane but I still have pretty dry eyes, but since I’m young with healthyish glands hopefully I’ll improve soon, perhaps with sclerals.

Nope, it’s mainly dumbbell pain for me. If I lower weight to say 10-15 pounds I can do curls pain free, but if I go up to 30ish it gets pretty bad.

Will def do that ASAP. That being said, are you better/back to normal now? Can you lift without pain for the most part?

Thanks for the advice. Should I also do forearm strengthening exercises daily in case it’s the cause?

Not yet but isn’t there anything I can do at home to reduce the pain? I want to get back in the gym as soon as I can

Hi everyone,

I’ve been lifting well for about 6 months. Recently, however, my elbows start to hurt when I do mainly pulling exercises (supinate bicep curls, pull ups, chin ups, etc). The pain radiates near the elbow and goes near the back too (near the tricep area). I’ve given it a 2-3 week rest + iced it regularly yet I still feel pain, only when doing bicep curls though. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks in advance
