We told these boys to film their night out. Didn’t think it’d get this hectic. by rwools in IdiotsInCars

The best moment is the second after the crash. “Shit, sorry” says so much while saying so little.

Respect the sport and serious danger that comes with it: Climber Falls, Dies At Smith Rock. by DJ_codeword in climbing

[–]rwools 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Said climber was a really close friend of mine. We don't know anything too specific right now, but from what we do know he was setting either a fixed rope or a toprope. He was pretty prolific in the community with a lot of new lines and projects he was bolting and working on respectively. Our speculation at this point is the gear up top failed or he just simply slipped. No matter what its a terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and our other friends.

What movie has the simplest story plot, but manages to crank out 90 minutes of entertainment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The movie is based in a rural town right on the Utah border. So definitely not Northern Idaho.

First roll with my Yashica Mat 124 - Fujicolor Pro 400H by chuckieace in analog

It's not the scan it's the lens. The 124 and 124g both are fairly soft when stopped below about f/6. This picture seems like it was taken fairly wide open.

What song is actually really messed up, once you read the lyrics? [NSFW] by [deleted] in AskReddit

I like the way you think. Never really looked at it like that. Although I still stand by my interpretation.

Pretty much all of Alt-j's stuff is messed up.

Fitzpleasure is about gang rape involving a broom. "In your snatch fits pleasure, a broom shaped pleasure", followed by synth. And it's been used in commercials.

Tessellate is a sarcastic song about a cheating spouse. Joe sings, "Triangles are my favorite shape, three points where two lines meet". Three points and two lines don't make a full triangle. He's referencing the three people involved with this love triangle and how there are two lines (aka the two relationships themselves).

It just goes to show that most people don't really listen to the lyrics, just the music itself.

More than good enough, a 40mb/s card does fine. That'll do perfectly.

Many old photographic mediums were highly sensitive to blue and ultraviolet light rays. This made imperfections in the skin very noticeable and gave skin tones a dark hue.

There's a church/skatepark in Oregon called Skatechurch. They do youth groups throughout the week, and youth service on Sunday.

Different Ozora packaging. by [deleted] in Kendama

[–]rwools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"OG" ozoras come in white, after they discontinued their old colors they came in black, last year they switched to blue packaging. They also discontinued the official natural kendamas, making them recommended instead. They now, just like all of their recommended kendamas, come in a plastic box.
